My Busy Desk and an Over The Hill Card

We have finally into spring here in southern AZ after having a couple days of summer (hot, in the 90's*) weather.  Love it in the 70's* but could do without the wind. But today is Wednesday, yeah, that's what the calendar shows. And today you have the opportunity to view my desk and many other desks, should you take up the mission.  These fun views are put together by lovely Julia at the Stamping Ground.  Please head over there when you've finished here.

This was taken yesterday late afternoon as I was busy working on a card to celebrate a friend's 40th birthday.  He's our pastor's son and our music leader at church.  His wife is having a surprise birthday party this weekend.  My, how I ramble.  Anyway, my desk, stamps, a partial card, scraps of paper, an ink pad, other cards from this past weekend, and my ATG adhesive roller.  When the card was finished the desk was cleaned and made ready for my next project.

And here's the finished card.

I used a balloon die and misc. products.  The solid black and white papers have a shimmer.

This is the inside.  I've had this stamp for many many years.  The paper is actually black and I used white ink.

Ok, I'm done.  Please head over to the Stamping Ground for more links to great desks.

That's a great card, Carol - love the front but it was the sentiment that made me laugh! I hope the birthday boy likes it and enjoyed his surprise party :-D

Hi Carol, your desk looks very productive and the card is fabulous. I'm impressed with your white stamping on black. I've never had much success with white inking and usually emboss in white instead. Love the sentiment inside. Have a great week. Elizabeth x #26

Hi Carol. Fantastic card - and that sentiment. I was laughing out loud at that!! Brilliant. Of course, he should remember that Moses didn't actually start his life's mission until he was 80...
Take care. God bless.

A great card and a great quote, Carol! Love the bold black and white colour scheme. Thank you for your lovely comment and I'm so glad you like my little Infusions samples - I did some more last night. Glad you like the kitties too! They do love the sun.

Happy belated WOYWW,

So late - sorry! And no Carol..that's not rambling...you've read some of my disjointed and rambling posts, if it was a sport I could medal in it! That's a great card for your music leader, I like the milestones sentiment..but then bam! I love the Hill verse even more - brilliant, bet that'll set him chuckling!
