What a Messy Desk!

I'm back!  I was on vacation from Sept. 1 - 18 as we traveled to Wyoming to see kids, grandkids, and great grandkids!  And boy did we visit some cool places on the way home.  I do have those pics from my camera downloaded to my PC but need to crop or edit or whatever.  But today I'm finally able to play but instead it's more like work as I prepare for a Halloween card class a week from Friday so my desk is a disaster!  And I'm glad to be able to join WOYWW after a long break.  And this great blog tour of desks is brought together by Julia at the Stamping Ground.  Be sure to head over there after you finish here.

I have paper, dies, stamps, my new paper trimmer, tools, and what not on my desk.  Funny how I can work around this and still feel productive.  Actually that's scary!

I did get some cards made yesterday for a special purpose.

I needed 3 so I made 4.  Makes sense to me!  All products from Fun Stampers Journey.  I used a lot of different ink pads to make these cards. Definitely bright and cheery!

I cut the text out and pop dotted on the card.  I even tied some white twine on the card for fun.

Now I'm done.  I'm still pooped from our 3100 miles driven but hubby really needed to get away from work and have some fun.  We visited a few museums, a volcano crater, a Pueblo ruins, and Monument Valley.  But please head over to the Stamping Ground and continue the tour of desks!  You'll see not only desks but many cool projects and great photos!

Love the background on those cards! And Enjoy the Journey is one of my mantras. Glad you got some 'get away' time. Sounds as if hubby needed the time and you all had a fab time. Creative Blessings! Kelly #39

Glad you had a nice holiday, Carol. Your desk is busy and productive! I worry when mine is too tidy... Love the cards, esp. the backgrounds. Thank you for your visit - yes, we do tend to think the worst, and I slipped up this time after being so positive for so long! Back on track now and feeling fine about everything! Very wise to get a colonoscopy to check that things are OK. Hope it goes well.

Happy belated WOYWW,

It's crazy how much we can work around. I know I'm guilty of just cluttering my desk more and more until I'm working on just a 2 inch squared space. But, your desk looks like it'd be fun to work at!
And those cards are SO cheery. The splashes of color are really fun. Wonderful!

Welcome back! Your trip sounds awesome - that's a lotta miles to see stuff in! I love the cards, and yep, need three so make 4 - perfectly sense to me! I work exactly as you describe your desk - around things!!
