Desks and Die Cut Leaves

I think we're about done with the wind.  Eastern AZ has really had some as Interstate 10 had been closed for 0 visibility and numerous accidents.  But today is special.  Do you know why?  If you have been following me you know today is What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.  It's your opportunity to view mine and many others work areas in whatever shape it's in.  I take my picture late Tuesday.  And this fun desk tour is put together by Julia at the Stamping Ground.

I'm currently working on a monthly ATC swap that I participate in.  I've been playing with different papers and dies and I think I finally got it figured out.  Now to make 10 and get them in the mail by Friday....

I did make a card to show today.  My inspiration is on one of my boards on Pinterest but I'm not overly excited about how this turned out.  Maybe if my background behind the die cut was different....

I used a die from Heartfelt Creations.  Stamp, paper, and ink from Fun Stampers Journey, and the little flower gems from Kaiser Scrapbook.

Just not sure what to think.  Oh well.

Now if you'd please head over to the Stamping Ground and check out all the links to other desks.  Maybe we'll cross paths somewhere!

Carol, I wonder if the cut leaves would of "popped" more if you had sponged the edges. I like the card concept. Definitely planning to try it.

Hello Carol. More busyness on your desk - the ATC looks like it is coming together. I admit I wouldn't have ever thought of making a card by doing a cut then sticking the cut piece back on... Great idea.
Take care of yourself dear friend. God bless.

I like it - very pretty and as someone else said, the positive against the negative looks great.

Ooh, I like the card a lot actually - the cool simple effect really appeals to me, much more than overly fussy designs. I think it's clever the way you've used the cutout bit with the pretty paper behind. Thanks for visiting me earlier!

I love how you've used both the positive and the negative with the die cut on your card, Carol. Very imaginative! Thank you for your lovely comment and sorry to be so long picking it up - last week was incredibly busy and over the weekend I've been exhausted and had to rest. We had a wonderful tea party and it was well worth all the hard work! I am hoping for a quieter week ahead and to get back to doing some art again.

Happy belated WOYWW,
