Desks and ATCs

I wasn't sure I'd be participating today as yesterday I upgraded to Windows 10.  3.5 hours later everything was working.  I checked my programs and printer and all were fine.  I did a custom install instead of the express (my son said to do this) and I'm breathing now.  Whew!  Now on to this post.  Again, it's Wednesday.  Seems like it was desker day just a couple days ago.  Boy the time is going fast.  Anyway, if this is all new to you please click on the WOYWW logo in my sidebar at the end of this post.  It's week 331 and the queen desker, Julia at the Stamping Ground,  has done a great job bringing many crafters from ALL over together to show their work spaces.

I actually took this picture late yesterday.  You can see the corner of my laptop since my desktop work station is busy upgrading.  To its right is a pile of stamps and stuff that I'm working on.  Center is a couple kits from FSJ's Kit of the Month (September kits as I still have 2 I haven't finished). Above this are some ATCs that I'm working on for a swap.  Then the white sheet on top of my Scor-Pal and Mat is where I actually work.  Kinda neat and tidy before I start on those 2 unfinished kits.

Now I'll show you last month's ATC swap of 10 that I just received.

If you click on the pictures you'll see the names of the maker.

Mine is the bottom left in this last picture.  All stamps by FSJ.

Ok, you've reached the end of my post.  Please remember to head over to the Stamping Ground to continue on the blog tour of desks.  I'll be gone for a while today as a friend and I are taking an online class in mixed media through FSJ.  I'll show the projects later.  Have fun!

Great picture Carol - upgrading is a nightmare, you did well to keep it together! I hate doing it. Lyns #31

Oh my gosh! You upgraded to Windows 10 and lived to tell the tale. Hubby's mom keeps emailing me about all the problems she is having with the upgrades. Her computer is ancient. I have no idea what possessed her to even try it... AND, asking me is like asking the neighbor's dog. I have a cassette player in my truck and my phone is attached firmly to the wall with a cord. Technology and I pretty much ignore each other. Once every decade or so when I get a new computer I get a new OS. Hubby makes it work so why his mom doesn't ask him is a mystery (not really, he'll tell her in no uncertain terms that he doesn't upgrade the OS ever until he gets a new computer). Anyway, have fun with your kits. These ATCs are more my style, not so artsy fartsy! Judy #48 Thx for the visit earlier. Dio & I had a long nap.

Oh well done..a long upgrade..the longer it takes the more I have to work hard to quell my panic! Love the barber shop pole image on the ATCs, lovely cheery colours. It's reassuring to know that you're a bit behind with using kits, how very human you are my friend!

Lovely ATCs, Carol! And well done, upgrading to Win10. I've done it on both my laptops that are in use (my old large one bit the dust somewhat and I got a new one with Win8 which I immediately upgraded) and I've also done my hubby's one. My only problem is that on my small laptop (the one with all my music on it - it would be!!) the sound card has stopped working so I shall have to get around to downloading a new driver for it. Win10 is really good, and I haven't heard of anyone experiencing any major problems with it, either in the upgrading or in subsequent use. I am very pleased with it.

Thank you for your lovely comment - yes, so nearly there now, I've just got to hang in there and ride it out! I am resting, and not hassling too much about things. Thanks for the cyberhugs - always welcome!! I am sure I shall soon start to feel a lot better. I did manage to finish last month's accounts this a.m. which has given me a good sense of achievement - I hate that stuff hanging over me!

Happy belated WOYWW,
