Displays, Desks, and Flowers

It's a GORGEOUS Wednesday morning here in the southwest desert of AZ.  So great to have cooler low temps but still supposed to be in the triple digits F. for a high today.  Hope the forecasters got that wrong.  Anyway, I'm taking a bit of a break so will show my "desk" from yesterday.  Well, actually a display for a small presentation at a HOA (home owners assoc.) coffee of about 40 people.  And, as you know if you've been following me, you have the opportunity to view desks all around  the U.S. and Europe.  Julia, head desker, put this blog tour together over 6 years ago, and gathered all us deskers to her blog, the Stamping Ground.  Please head over there after you're done here.

Last week I showed you my almost complete display.  I finally finished it last Thursday morning before I headed to the Scrapbook Expo in Mesa, AZ.  I volunteered at the FSJ booth on Friday teaching a Make "n Take.

The class takers had the option to make this card or one with a heart and coordinating sentiment but same paper and supplies.  I think we did about 12 classes on Friday.  I was absolutely pooped but it was great!  I enjoyed working with another coach, 2 FSJ staff, and the company owner, Richard Garay.

I'm keeping this kinda short and, hopefully sweet today.  Please head over to the Stamping Ground to view other desks.  And if this is all new to you, when you get there click on What Is WOYWW? for more info.  (And can you believe today is the last day of Sept.????)

Yeah, with the temps I can't believe it is almost October. I could believe August though. Your display came together nicely. I'll bet you had a lot of fun with the make and take card. I also bet that you are exhausted! That's a lot of work. Judy #49

Hi Carol. Well done with your display and your make and take! Good work there. With 12 classes in the day, I think I would have been more than exhausted - more "flat on my back asleep"!
I confess my birthday passed in a blur of 999call, ambulance arriving, driving to the hospital, and spending the day in the totally windowless environment of A&E! I finally opened my cards around 7pm when John had been admitted and I was able to come home. Oh well, best laid plans and all that.
Thanks for the visit, and for praying for John.
Take care. God bless.

Reading about your antics makes me feel tired Carol, lol!! Lovely display, and I hope you had a good time. Thank you for your lovely comment and your kind words - only one treatment to go now, and with the reduced dose making me feel so much better, it should be a doddle facing that. My hubby has enjoyed taking care of me but I do want to start taking care of him for a bit now after all this time! It's been a long journey since January but we're definitely getting there. So glad you like my colouring. I did another one tonight with perfect pearls and it's come out really lovely.

Happy WOYWW,

Well done Carol, the make and takes were obviously hugely successful; I find the chatting and keeping up with what stage people are at is really exhausting after a day! I wonder what your HOA members will be learning from you? I envsage lots of stamping lessons!

Very nice card, I once went to that craft show, it was my first in 2009 and I thoroughly enjoyed it
