Gazebos, Road Runners, and Desks

August???  Already???  And Wednesday??  Time just seems to be flying by!  I think the older I get the faster time goes!  Today is the day of the weekly blog tour of desks put together by head desker Julia at the Stamping Ground.  I sure enjoy looking around at fellow crafter's work areas and seeing any projects they choose to share.  And if you are new to this please click on the WOYWW logo in my side bar or, when on Julia's blog, the appropriate page tab at the top of her blog.

I'm doing some die-cutting to prep some folders for upcoming FSJ parties.  You can just see the edge of the lime green folders on the far left and the orange flowers I'm cutting.  I did some stamping, too, but had to use my Staz-On to put the company logo on the folders as they're plastic.

Last week those who popped by seen the gazebo I was working on.  Here it is, completed.  This baby is about 10" across and 10" high.  The top comes off to place lights or a gift inside.

I added LOTS of glitter and rhinestones.  I should have used Frosted Lace Stickles but used Crystal instead which has a faint pink to it.

Here you can see it better on the snow.  The rhinestones on the top are quite large and I added itty bitty ones to the snowflakes on the side panels.  I also swirled the Stickles on the white base.

Of course I had to take a pic with battery tea lights inside.

And for Angela, the road runner in our tree...

Unfortunately there is a bit of reflection problem from the window blinds but he definitely doesn't look like the cartoon one that Wile E. Coyote chases!  But these little rascals are very fast. I went back a few years and found a much better pic that I took...

So now please head over to the Stamping Ground and enjoy the blog tour of desks!  I will be in Wyoming for the next 2 Wednesdays playing with grandsons, great grandsons, and family.  And I am scheduling my posts for the time I'm gone so if you are a follower there will be cards to view on Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays!

Hi Carol, that is beautiful! Love the details, and it's funny, I have that particular Stickles, and I also have an ultrafine glitter called Crystal, and that also has a pink hue to it.Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #4 xx

Your gazebo is so pretty. I'm glad that you showed a picture with the light inside. That roadrunner looks an interesting bird - very sleek and built for speed I'd say!

I wish you a happy holiday with your family. Barb#20 xx

Having roadrunners around is great because they will eat snakes! Unfortunately baby Gambol Quail too. Love how that gazebo came out. It looks so cozy with its tea light ablaze in it. Judy #49

Hi Carol, loving the photo of the roadrunner. He doesn't look like the cartoon one but I can see how an imaginative mind might interpret him. Thanks for visiting mine, hope you have a good time playing with your grandchildren.
Have a great week and happy crafting, Angela x 19

Golly. I'm really impressed with the winter gazebo. It is fabulous. I can only imagine the amount of time you put into it.

Have fun with your family. After all, family is EVERYTHING.

Thanks for visiting me while I was working in my yard. Happy belated WOYWW from #2.

What a lovely gazebo project you've made, Carol! The detail is impressive and it looks awesome with the lights on! Just today, I told my sister exactly what you said, that time seems to go faster as you get older!
Happy WOYWW and thanks so much for already dropping by!
