My Desk and Matthew 28:6 Card

Oh my gosh!  Another milestone in the international blog tour of desks!  It's week 300!!  Well, it's a milestone to my way of thinking.  And if you don't know about this fun desk tour called "What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday" please click on the WOYWW logo in the sidebar.  This fun event is all put together by Julia at the Stamping Ground.  Please go there when you reach the end of my post.

My desk is busy today.  A friend on a private FB group challenged us to make a card inspired by one posted by Scrapbook 24/7.  The card was GORGEOUS!!  Mine will be similar but with my own products and supplies, of course.  I rarely CASE anything.  So, on the left is my Cricut, paper trimmers, 3 Copic markers used on another card not finished, green scraps, and a package of dies by FSH. Mostly center is my work area, parts of the card, bone folder, sanding block, and the end of a small roll of 3M foam mounting tape.  To the right is my scissors, bottles of glitter, and my ATG tool.  A couple hours ago my desk was rather empty so now you can see what a challenge can do....

And now the card.  You can't see that the white layer under the green oval is embossed with a bunch of branches.  I used Spellbinders Nesties "Elegant Ovals" for the white and green layers.  The green branch is by Cheery Lynn Designs.  I used assorted punches for the flowers and dragonflies.  The text is by Fun Stampers Journey, part of a stamp called "Matthew 28:6.  I cut the one stamp into 3 pieces to fit my purpose.

Here's a closer look at the flowers and larger dragonfly.  I used FSJ sequins for the flower centers then added a dot of Red Stickles.  I used Frosted Lace Stickles on the dragonfly.

And the smaller dragonfly.  You can see some of the white layer embossing here.  I love how this card turned out.  If you want to see the inspiration card just click HERE.  It's the 2nd card in the post.

Ok, you've reached the end of my part of the tour.  I'm in the great southwest of the United States and real close to Mexico (30 miles)  Please head on over to the Stamping Ground to continue your tour!  You'll see desks in all manner of usage and great projects!  Have fun!
