A Flower Bouquet on my Desk

We are in spring mode here in southern Arizona.  The weather has been gorgeous but we do need some rain.  But today is also the day you get the opportunity to view desks from all around the world.  It's What's On You Workdesk Wednesday!  Our wonderful head desker, Julia, from the Stamping Ground, has done an amazing job bringing crafters together to share their desks with you!  You'll see tidy and busy desks and even some great projects!  If you are new to this blog tour and want more info you may click on the WOYWW logo in the sidebard. Now, without further adieu here's mine...(photo taken last night)

I'm in the process of making 16 Birthday cards for a specific swap I'm in while at the Yummy & Delicious Tour next week in Phoenix, AZ.  This 1 1/2 day "tour" is for Fun Stampers Journey coaches and guests.  I have my paper trimmers and stamps being used on the far left (in front of my red Cricut), some cupcakes and red ovals kinda in the middle, and, on the scrap paper, 2 cupcakes getting foam mounting tape applied (just to left of scissors).  At the top of the scrap paper are a bunch of cupcakes mounted on the ovals and just to the left is a beginning card. I'll be heading to Phoenix a week from tomorrow so gotta get these done.

Last Wednesday I had a class of 1 (don't know what happened to the 2nd gal) and I taught the Pop-Up Box card.  That class was to last 2 hours but we were done in 30 minutes!  And Sue wanted it to go fast as she was really wanting to go to a huge garage/yard sale that started at 1 (and the class started at 1!).  I hope she got the general idea but she did get a sheet of instructions.

I used all Fun Stamper Journey stamps, dies, inks, paper, and sequins.  I finished it when I got home after the class.

I absolutely LOVE my card!  It turned out better than I envisioned!

I think the only change I would make is to add another flower on the strip behind the front blue flower.  Looks kinda empty.  I will be teaching this card again with a group of ladies from church on March 25th.  As of last week I have 6 and they are going to pay me $10 per person!  Should be a wonderful time! I do need to do some die cutting of these flowers and get the Cricut busy cutting some southwest images.

Ok, you've reached the end of my post.  If you'd be so kind let me know what you think of my desk and/or card.  Then PLEASE click on the Stamping Ground and check out oodles of desks.  I won't be visiting until tomorrow as today I have an appointment with a Breast Cancer Specialist to decide if the cyst is truly benign.  If it is I hope to have it aspirated to get rid of it.  If not, well, God is in control.

And please pray for fellow WOYWWer Soshi.  She was to have cancer surgery today but it's been postponed again.  I'm sure her emotions are on a horrible roller coaster.

I hope all goes well tomorrow. Will you get the result the same day> I went through the same scenario a few years ago. Mine was malignant. But as you say: God is in control and He gave me 'the peace that passes all understanding'. You'll be fine under His wings whatever the outcome.
I'm also thinking of Shoshi. She hasn't left my thoughts at all today. I can't imagine how she must be feeling!
Your box card is beautiful by the way.
Have a good week (well, try anyway)

Wow, I love that box card!! So pretty, fresh and perfect for Spring :-). It looks complicated to put together, but I'm sure you have the knack! I wouldn't change it actually, I think it's perfect as it is.
Thanks for dropping by and the lovely comments!

That's a lovely pop up box card, Carol. What a shame your friends didn't do the class as you had planned it. Trust the next one with your friends from church goes well, and that everyone makes a great card.
I do hope your hospital appointment has gone well today - I pray Father God will give you His peace as you go through this concerning time. Yes, indeed, He is in control and knows the plans He has for you - but we do still worry, don't we. I praise Him that He understands we are human!!!
Shoshi must indeed be concerned as the time is passing. May God be very close to her and her hubby as they wait yet again.
Thanks for visiting and for your comment.
Take care. God bless.

That card is amazing! I would love to have someone make one of those for me or know how to make it myself. It's a shame only one person showed up to learn it (and that she was in such a rush) Hopefully you'll have a full house the second time around!

Great job on the pop-up card. I can think of all kinds of themes that this could be used with. Thanks for sharing, sistah!
