Another Wednesday another desk view. Yep, Deskers Wednesday or more formally known as WOYWW. The lovely head desker Julia at the Stamping Ground is responsible for this fun blog tour. I do enjoy the time I get to check out desks and fun projects from all over the world. When you're done reading here please pop over "the pond" and check out her blog. There's lots of buttons across the top of her home page that will give you oodles of info on this fun tour.
So here is my desk. What do we see.... a card on the far left that I need to finish. Some paper by Pebbles that I'm using to make a card for my Friday's post. Stamps and the card base. Paper trimmer, foam mounting tape, scissors. Pretty busy.
Last week I got some comments on my sponge container and a couple about wanting to see my eyelet holder. So here they are for your closer viewing. The eyelet holder is by CraftMates. Sometimes I forget about it as it doesn't fit on my desk but in a closet so... out of site, out of mind. But I did need it for my card that I was working on.
This is another card I made for the scrapbook store and still want to get a bunch more done. I used 2 stamp sets by Red Rubber Designs called "Light the Path" and "With Sympathy" along with a set by Inkadinkado called "Down By The Seaside" (great seagull on the cover of the card).
I colored the image with my watercolor pencils as I wanted a more subtle look than what I felt I'd get with Copics.
I wanted to use knots to add some embellishment to the card so I grabbed my jute and tied 3 knots to adhere to the red base.
I found this poem online and printed out a few to use. I also got out the cards I received so that I can type out the inside sentiments to use in some cards.
Now that you're at the end of my post please remember to hop or click over to the Stamping Ground to see what's happening today! Lately there has been about 80 - 90 who take part these days. I manage to visit about 20 - 25 and thoroughly enjoy myself!
