Wednesday Work Desk

I decided to do a quick post with my desk picture and celebrate WOYWW.  I haven't been stamping as my mom died last Thursday and my brother and his wife are here we're planning the memorial for this Saturday.  I feel the need to take a break and stamp and maybe later today as I need to get a couple cards sent out for 2 monthly swaps I'm in.  But I digress.  Here's my desk from last night.

In front of my heavily-used-this-week Cricut are 3 card kits for the class I had to cancel due to all the activities this week.  I don't have the kits finished as I still need to print out the kit covers.  So, that's all I have today. No card samples, no fun 3D cool stuff like the Ferris wheel or Christmas Gift Card holders. But hopefully next week I'll be more back on track.

Last week I was ready for the international blog tour put on by head desker Julia over at the Stamping Ground.  But she was not only on holiday but quite ill so the tour kinda fizzled.  She is home now and doing much better.   So please hop over to her blog after you leave here and tour the desks and projects.

Oh Carol, I'm so sorry about your mum...nothing prepares you for it even though we all know its inevitable. Sending you big hugs....and if crafting helps, just do it. Your mum would understand as do us WOYWWers.
Hugs, LLJ 29 xx

Sorry to hear of your Mother's passing. It is a hard time even when you are prepared for it. My Mom died 25 years ago today and we knew for years before she died. Always lots of stuff to do. Take it easy it will be there when you come back to it. I need more experience with the cricut. If I lived closer I would come take your class!! Thanks for visiting my desk this week. Vickie #19

I'm so sorry about your mother's death! Don't worry about crafting now, unless it helps you feel better. I'd focus on family and getting through the service first. You're in my thoughts & prayers.

So sorry to read of your sad loss, Carol, and it's not at all surprising that you haven't been crafting. It's 10 years since my mother dies, very suddenly, and I can still remember the days that followed vividly ... such a lot to do and to think about. Crafting can be therapeutic though. Oh, and 90 degrees - that is just too darn hot! Hope all goes well for you this week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #69
