A Pueblo, A Sponged Scene, And Best Wishes

I'm still playing with some background pieces that I made a few years ago and this is quite southwest in it's theme.

The background of this was made with stencils and sponges.  These sponges were half balls on a handle!  I still have them! (But they are slated to go to the thrift store soon.)  Plus I have 3 replacement sponges for the handles still in a package.  I think I purchased them pre-2002.
The package topper says "CC Rubber Stamps - Half Sponge Balls -  Replacement Heads for Softscapes".  They are to be applied using a glue gun.

This was made from an old D.O.T.S. stamp before they had a name change.  Do you remember?  Now they're known as Close To My Heart.  I added some color to the doors and windows with my Copics and used my clear Wink of Stella glitter brush on the windows.  This stamp was wood mounted but now it's on cling cushion for ease of storing.

I found this kinda western script from a TAC stamp set and added it.  I think my brown ink pad is getting faint on one end.

It sure has been fun visiting the "past".  Have you played with some old backgrounds lately?
