A Couple Cards Made at Retreat

This past weekend I attended a scrapping/stamping retreat as a part of the staff of AZ Scrapbooking (I do teach there) and I got a bunch of cards made or started.  Here are a couple.

This is made from a scrap of floral paper that already had the center die cut out.  I just added a piece of white on the burgundy background then added some sponging to the floral and pop dotted it over the base.  Add the text in the same burgundy ink and a card is made!  Stamped image part of a set by Stampendous.

I really like this style as it's very elegant to my way of thinking.  I embossed the white with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and used Spellbinder dies for the 3 top layers.

The pattern paper is some that I purchased from The Angel Company many years ago.  The text is from a set by Red Rubber Designs called Contemporary Greetings.  I cut out a piece of a coordinating pattern paper and pop dotted it in place and added a purple gem.  Ta da!!

I still have 1 card to finish but I have enough for a week of posts!  Takes a bit of stress off as I help work at a Big Tent Revival for the next 3 days and prepare some card samples for a store meeting next Monday for my proposed April class.

That's some neat embellie around your Easter greeting, Carol. Purple gives royality a pop as symbolism lends itself to making a great card.
Happy Three Day Tenting. What a week with back to back events! You will be set for a great rest in just another day. Unpacking? Setting some great pics on the net, among other necessary tasks.
Keep Looking UP! mt23stamper
