Wednesday Workdesk and Wallets

Glorious Wednesday!  Time to go blurfing (blog surfing) all over the world!  Yep, it's that day when you need your favorite beverage and some time at your computer and view other crafters' work desks and any projects they want to share.  Thanks to Julia Dunnit at the Stamping Ground for organizing this fun event. And on to my desk....

I recently purchased the Envelope Punch Board by We R Memory Keepers.  This board is fabulous!  It's what's taking up my desk space today.

On it you can make envelopes from Gift Card size to 12.2" x 21.6" (if you have a large enough sheet of paper).  But I'm not going to show you any envelopes until later.  I have something else to show you today.

Many years ago when we lived in northwest Wyoming I took part in a large craft fair the Saturday after Thanksgiving.  I learned to make fabric wallets and in a 5 year span I sold over 200 of those rascals by the time we moved in 2002!  I was called the "wallet lady" when I went into our local fabric store to purchase  double-sided quilted fabric.  I haven't made any for the last 8 years and recently my wallet gave up.  So this is my new wallet!  I love bright colors!  Harder to lose your wallet.....

Here you see the first open area.  There is the place for paper money, a coin holder, and a place to keep your credit cards or whatever.

And the second open area that has a place for a writing pen and your checkbook and register.  I've already gotten interest in these from the gals at the new Joanns Craft store in Green Valley, AZ and my bank teller.  Guess when I get home from Wyoming mid August I need to get some made.  I have about 30 already cut out (from 8 years ago).  I sell them for $20 each and they're totally washable but drip dry.

So now please click HERE to go to Julia's blog and check out the vast assortment of blogs and desks!!   And by golly, the hop has started!!!

Ah an envelope maker - talk about what goes around comes around..bet you'll find it immensely useful. Love your cheerful wallet - bet they will sell well..specially as the trend for home made is so strong..and any fabric that looks a bit dated - hey it's retro!

Oh, I've been looking for an envelope maker for ages. I live in the UK and I've tried to buy a Crafters Companion one, but they are always out of stock from the online supplier I use. This one looks really 'state of the Art'! Your wallet is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing! I haven't been doing WOYWW for very long and I think this is my first visit to you! Love your blog! Love the wallet..I have had to get used to cheques since I moved to the US...we phased those out in the UK a while back! The envelope board is great, but I have to use my envelope stash before purchasing...I love to buy envelopes. Thanks for swinging by my blog earlier, glad you liked the Mermaid, I blogged about her earlier in the week, she is on my desk awaiting her envelope to deliver her to her new home. Happy WOYWW.
