I seen a cool card as I was blurfing the other day that used a large shadow stamp (large piece of rubber with no design). Since I don't have any I grabbed the next best thing.... an acrylic block! And I grabbed my watercolor crayons to try this.
This pattern paper is from a Simple Stories pack but since I had it so cut up I can't tell you the name! This paper came in the March Express Kit for when I was a guest designer on Memory Works. I scribbled the crayons on my block then very lightly spritzed with water before stamping on my card stock. One thing learned, make sure you don't use the grid side of the block. The grid left definite lines in the stamped color!
You can kinda see it in the close up but I stamped over it to try to hide it. This stamp is from The Angel Co. I like how this turned out! And I added the black/white twine for a bit of embellishment. I may play some more with my blocks. Have you tried this?? What do you think?
I have been doing my spring cleaning in honor of our son coming to visit. Nothing like a little incentive to get one's rear in gear and shampoo carpets, clean bathrooms, dust, wash windows and blinds, and more! So a quick head's up.... I will have a couple more posts this week (prescheduled) then I'll be taking the weekend off as I spend time with him and his girlfriend. I hope to be back posting the first of next week. Thanks for visiting and happy stamping!
