A Class with Els...

Last night I took a class at AZ Scrapbooking in Green Valley, AZ.  The teacher was Elizabeth of Elizabeth Craft Designs!  Oh My Gosh!  It was SO fun!

First we made 2 cards (I have 1 completed at this time) then a piece of jewelry.  We used all kinds of microfine glitters and Shimmer Sheetz.

The background of this card  is made with an iridescent Shimmer Sheetz that I ran through an embossing folder then sanded.  It's very difficult to photo as it acts almost like a mirror! This particular sheet is called Fire Opal Gemstone.

This cute little pot is a Peel -Off sticker that is stuck to a piece of card stock that has a sticky sheet (Be Creative Tape) adhered then coated with a glitter-like product called Highlight!  Then I colored with Copic markers!  Isn't it just so cool!

And what do you think of this pendant???  Just fabulous! It starts with a piece of black card stock with the Tape adhered to both sides then a piece of Turquoise Gemstone Shimmer Sheetz adhered on both side.  I used a Sizzix-type die (large and black) of different sized squares and rectangles to cut out the shapes. After punching the holes I then used an embossing folder to add the designs.  For added highlights I swiped the design with Staz-On Saddle Brown ink.  Absolutely gorgeous!!  I did purchase some plain red Shimmer Sheetz to play with and when I finish the other card I will be posting it!  If you ever get a chance to take a class from Els I HIGHLY recommend it!

absolutely gorgeous! I love both projects. I have some of the shimmer sheets and you're right, they are fun to play with and leave such gorgeous projects.

What is the highligh product you talked about?

Wow! These are gorgeous, Carol! Hope I get a chance to try some of this - under someone's tutelage, to be sure, but it sure looks like fun!!
