2011 World Cardmaking Day

Today is World Cardmaking Day.  Are you celebrating?  Stamping? Scrapping?  Well, I hustled to get this card done not only for today but for an upcoming class at the LSS in Green Valley, Az.  It was suggested to me to have a class about coffee.  I do have a few sets and the set used on this card was virgin (you know, not inked...).  It is by PaperTrey Ink and was just begging to be used.

I also used a The Angel Company set called Running Stitches, Burnt Umber, Noir, and Brilliance Moonlight White inks, a 2 1/2" circle punch and a scallop circle punch.  I masked the coffee image to add the oval shadow under it.  The 2 pattern papers are: dotted card stock by Canvas Corp. called Kraft & Chocolate Mini Dot Reverse and the white pattern is by Jillibean called White Macaroni (also double sided).  The dark brown card stock is by Bazzill.

Here you can see the shiny coffee in the cup.  I used my Stardust Clear Gel pen to make it look that way.  I probably should have used Crystal Lacquer but didn't think of that in time.

I was not fast enough to get into any blog hops but I know OWH is having one and there are quite a few entries at the World Cardmaking site.  Go get some wonderful inspiration!
