One Layout At A Time

One of our Seminar projects was created by Christine Pennington, a wonderful, sweet, and talented angel. I sorta changed the layout but I don't have a picture to show you the original.  We used Emma SWIC, olive & kraft & white cardstocks, and hardware and ribbon that coordinated.

Can you see the Dotted Peony??  There is no link for it yet but it is SO cool!  The text is part of the set along with 2 more phrases, a large blossom, a leaf, and another like the one on the card but a bit smaller with a longer stem.  It's a set of 7 designed by Nina Brackett for $18.95.  If you go to the online catalog link in the sidebar it's on page 26.  I want the Dahlia, too, but gotta wait.

Here's a close up of the flower.  How do you like how it's colored?  That's called the dotted technique. I used a Tangelo Momento marker (page 133) and just lightly dotted the flower using the small tip.

This is where I made the change from the original project.  I placed the ribbon UNDER to snaps instead of across the top of the card with the snaps on the side.  And I added the dots on the white piece on 2 corners and used my Desert Sand Momento ink to edge all for sides of the white. I love Christine's layout but I just didn't follow directions.  I'll make another card someday using her layout for a post.
