Happy Anniversary

July 5th was my folk's 55th anniversary.  I know "silver" is not the theme but I was having fun playing with silver glossy cardstock and after seeing a card made by Laurie U. on TAC's Paper Crafting Community I was inspired!

You can really see the glossy!  I scored a couple lines at the bottom of the card before adding some white scrapper's floss (disc. by manufacturer but I have a few...).  The white cardstock was run through a Cuttlebug embossing folder then I used a Nestie Labels 2 (wished we carried this one).  I used 2 sizes of the Nestie to have the center to emboss the Mini Damask which was a GWP in the last catalog.

I think the silver embossing really set off the image. Don't you?

I found these little square silver brads in my stash.  We used to carry these.  They're by Creative Impressions. I searched the internet for some anniversary poems to finish the inside.  They enjoyed the card.

We made it home Tuesday evening.  Had some heavy rain in southwest WY and lots of road construction down I15 in Utah and in Las Vegas. Wednesday evening we had over an inch of rain with floods and no power for 14 hours.  The land smells fresh and the floods are gone so we can now get in and out of our subdivision. Now to just get ready for a class today and get some swaps done....   Mojo, vacation is over!
