Cards for Kids project

I've been working like crazy on the Seminar projects and am almost done! Today I'm on the road to Cheyenne, WY.  Looking forward to seeing the daughter and cooler temps. So, this post has been prescheduled as the next few.  This project was created by Paula-Kay Bourland.  She is truly talented.

She developed a diorama card of 3 layers using the Sunshine & Joy set designed by Soft Pencil Studios on page 13 of the Inspiration Book.  I have this set and it will be part of some blog candy for an upcoming drawing.  It's cute but just not my style.  The opening was made with Nestie Label 5.  And I added rays to the sun with my Stardust Clear Gel pen (were you wondering if I'd forgotten it?).

Here you can see the 3 layers.  We used Miss Moxie SWIC and cardstock (yellow) and as I'm putting this post together I realized I forgot to add the Miss Moxie pieces to each side.  Easily rectifiable.

I used Copic markers to color the images before adhering to the layers (prior to assembling the layers into the card). This card will lay flat but requires a larger envelop as it's 6 1/2" x 4" when folded.  I used a white gel pen on the flowers and leaves in the foreground.  I think that added a lot of pop to them. We now carry the Signo white gel pen along with gold and silver, see page 138 in the Inspiration Book.  Angels who have these pens just LOVE them so I guess I'll have to add the white to my order.

There is always a reason to send someone a card and let them know that you are thinking of them!
Be a blessing and drop someone a card today ~ just because!
