Ok, I'll show the individual cards...

Well, Trudy, I'll show you the cards!  I did have a post last week showing the 3 cards together as I don't try to show closeups of cards that don't use TAC stamps but I'll do it this time. These photos are used on my supply list where I have the paper sizes, etc. for my classes.  Again, stamps are NOT TAC.

Stamps are by Stampendous and Martha Stewart.  Pattern papers are by Bo Bunny, By My Mind's Eye, and unknown (yellow dotted paper).  These are for a class I'm teaching on April 14 at the Green Valley, Az store AZ Scrapbooking from 1 - 3 pm.  Cost is $18 and one needs to contact the store for tools needed.

So, Trudy, how do you like these?  LOL!

Closeups of the Lattice

I decided to show you the close ups of the lattices from the previous post.  I got the templates from the Diamond Folds sheet by Hot Off The Press, Inc.  I have many of their products and decided it was time to play more with them.  So, lattice not tarry  (oh, bad pun!)..

This one I did on black vellum and you can see where I used my gold marker.  If you try this be sure to use scrap paper under the piece you are marking as the marker can bleed and the way I do it the marker is 1/2 on, 1/2 off the edge.  The gold really gives punch to the piece.  You can also see that I outlined the punched circle with gold but you can't see that I outlined the pattern paper.

This was the first one I tried the gold marker and you can see the boo-boo on the second lattice.  If you're real careful you can correct this but I'm not going to so that the students can see what can happen if you don't take your time and use a steady hand.  You can also see the edge of the flower with the gold embossing.

This last lattice is the one I first learned many years ago. You don't need to use vellum for these cuts, you can use double-sided paper, double layered paper...  Just play.

Crafter's Market

Tomorrow, Saturday the 27th I will be taking part in a Crafter's Market being held at the AZ Scrapbooking store in Green Valley, AZ.  It's open at 9 am and I think it's over about 3 pm.  I think there's about 10 - 15 vendors taking part.  I will be selling my used stamps listed here on my blog, rugs, and misc. gifts.  If you are in the area, come take a look!  The store is located in Green Valley Village mall off the Esperanza exit on I-19.

Trio of Cards...

I've been busting my buns getting samples made for my upcoming April 14th class at the AZ Scrapbooking store in Green Valley, AZ.  I decided to do "lattice" cards using vellum, various papers, and stamps from the store (as required..).  Since these images are not by TAC I will no show closeup but the group.  So, what do you think??

Images are by Stampendous and Martha Stewart.  I used my Pilot Gold Marker to outline much of the paper and lattice pieces.  The yellow flower is gold embossed and has 3 layers.  Rather cool, I think....

Did you miss me??

Sorry I've been missing in action.  A lot happened in the last few days.  Not only did I have 2 days of working on tax stuff to send to our son, the CPA but Dean lost his job. So, we will be working on getting some unemployment benefits, possibly filing for Social Security, looking for health insurance we can afford (which is unlikely) and more.   We are trusting God to help us through this time of trials.  I did find $1000 in our checkbook that I missed when I balanced the bank statement today!  Praise God!

So, since the swap I was in has been finalized and I can now show you the 2 cards that I gave a sneak peek on a while back, here they are!

This card uses Anchor to the Soul, a new set.  Also used is green, yellow, and dark purple cardstocks, Tutti Frutti SWIC pattern paper , watercolor paper, Noir PH ink,. Prismacolor H2O pencils, the Niji water brush, the Giga Scalloped Circle punch, the Mega Circle punch, the Stardust Clear Gel pen, a white gel pen, and a Fiskars Treading Water border punch.  Hmmm...  I think I have it all listed.

This card uses the Boots set, another great new set.  Also used K-Boyz DWIC pattern paper, Noir PH ink, white gel pen, the Giga Scalloped circle punch, the Mega Circle punch, the Stardust Clear Gel pen, and a 3" circle punch.

So, was it worth the wait??

A different technique...

This was scheduled to post on the 20th but that didn't happen.  Sorry...

I join a swap each month with someone on the Technique Junkies online group.  We must use a technique that's been in one of the newsletters.  I used  Mono Dies for the card....  Can you figure it out?

I used Graphic Blooms for the flower and Bless Your Heart hostess set for the text. Also used was the Extra Jumbo and Super Jumbo flower punches, a Cuttlebug folder, the Wizard, a green brad, the Corner Chomper, a sanding block, DCWV Neutrals card stock, kraft & white card stocks...

Here you can see the Stardust Clear Gel pen on the flower.  Just gives it that extra touch.

If you are interested in getting the bimonthly Technique Junkie newsletter please contact me.  Also check out their site by clicking on the Logo in the left sidebar.

Cards for a "bold" swap...

On our AZ Stampers group I signed up for a "Bold" swap.  Well, I went with bold colors.  They turned out ok.  I was having a brain burp working on them but you can see for yourself.

I used retired stamps and paper for this.  I really like the Alpha Grunge (alphabet) set and the Surf Shoppe paper is definitely bright!

Here you can see where I used the Stardust Clear Gel pen to make the F more bold.  And that's a pretty large white flower behind it.  I was debating coloring it but that may have made it harder to see.

I used a new set called Graphic Blooms.  It works great with the Extra Jumbo Flower Punch.  I layered that punched flower onto the Super Jumbo Flower punch for more visibility.  The punched border is from a new punch made in Holland. I outlined the stamped flower (which is inked with Sunflower & Veridian Leaf PH inks using the rock 'n roll method). These inks worked the best with my card stocks. And have you figured out how I did the white's background?? The text stamped in the green ink is from the Beyond Measure hostess set so you can only get it with a qualifying order of $250 net or more.  (Get some friends together and have a party!  Contact me with what you want and we'll work it out for you!)

You can almost see where I again used the Stardust Clear gel pen on the flower.  Plus I added the green brad and white scrappers floss for more embellishment.

Now, would you consider these cards bold??

A new look...

Did you notice a change to the line right below my banner?  Right now it has Home, Stamps for Sale, and About Me.  I'm trying to simplify the sidebar and make things easier for you to find different things.  Keep checking back.  I'm thinking of adding a page for Gifts for Sale...     Got lots of pictures to take for that so it may take some time.  Please let me know how the pages look to you.  I tried to get the stamp sets to line up but a few wanted to go side by side.  Oh well...  Must take someone smarter than me to get them aligned.

A card for a client...

My friend and customer, Marge, ordered some white-core DCWV cardstock and didn't know you could emboss and sand it. So, I told her I'd make her a card as a thank you and give her some ideas!  Well, here it is! I used All Things of Nature stamp set, a Cuttlebug folder for the embossing, DCWV Neutral Cardstock Stack, Burnt Umber PH ink, Giga Scallop Circle punch, Mega Circle punch, and pop dots.

This picture looks a little squashed.  The card is a standard A2 size.  So, what do you think??

I've been playing.... but not creating.

My hubby and I went on a mini vacation the past few days and so, no posts or anything.  I hope to have a project to post by Tuesday.  We really wanted to take some time and went to Yuma, AZ.  Got some great pics to download and will have some of them posted to my personal blog later this week.  Yuma has a LOT of history and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. So please stay tuned!!  Thanks!

Upcoming Class info

My next class is at the AZ Scrapbooking store in Green Valley, AZ on March 25th at 10 am.  We will be making 3 side-step cards. Cost is $18 and we will make 3 cards.  If you plan on attending please bring a paper trimmer, stylus, Stardust Clear Gel pan, scissors, adhesive, Pop Dots, and black ink.

I did use Stampendous and Hero Arts stamps for these as that's what the store carries.  Call and reserve your place at the worktable.  See you there!

Oh My Goodness, It's a Christmas Card!!!

Can you believe it, I'm already making my Christmas cards!  My goal is to make 5 a month to be ready in November when I start sending cards.  And, over on Paper Wings, we have a Christmas Card club which challenges us to make our cards and even has different monthly themes or stamp sets to use. For March we had to make nontraditional cards.

I used a set called Reindeer Food that was offered as a special last fall.  And the background set is Swirly Gigs.  I stamped everything with Noir and used my White Gel pen to embellish.  The paper is all from my stash, brown, tan, and black cardstock. Oh, and I did sponge some Burnt Umber to around the piece that the reindeer is stamped on.  (Is this a dangling participle??)

So, what do you think of my "non-traditional" card??

And don't forget when you're at my "shopping cart" to check out the Specials that TAC is offering.  Or the Online Only items. There are even some Monthly Specials. So, if you want to order directly through my site and have questions, contact me.  One thing to keep in mind when you enter an item number such as T-2658 (Swirly Gigs) is to enter as t2658.  No upper case, no gaps, no dashes/hyphens.

A couple of sneak peaks...

I joined in on a swap (a trading of cards) over on Paper Wings (click on the button in the lower left sidebar).  We had to use NEW sets from the recently released Serendipity Street (spring supplement).  I cannot show the cards until the swap is complete but I will give you a sneak peak.

I need to figure out my camera better and get my close ups more clear.  Anyway, this cool boot is from the Boots set.  I colored with my Prismacolor Pencils and used the Stardust Clear gel pen on the gold sections.  You can also see the pale gray outline of the boot.  I used the Tombow Grey marker to make the boot stand out from the paper a bit more. Just too cool!

This cool chair and lemonade glass came from the Anchor to the Soul set.  I colored with the Prismacolor H2O pencils and the Niji water brush.  Can you see the sparkly ice in the glass?  I used the Stardust Clear gel pen on it.  I did stamp on watercolor paper with Noir PH ink.

I hope in a couple weeks to be able to post the 2 cards in their entirety.  Stay tuned!!

The end of the One Sheet Wonder cards

Well, I bet you're getting bored with these so I'm showing the last 2 cards now.  And, if you're a member of Green Valley Recreation, AZ, this class is scheduled for March 10 from 1 - 3 pm at the Desert Hills Social Club.  Cost is $12 and you need to bring chalks, stamps, paper trimmer, pop dots, and any embellishments you would like to use.  I do NOT have enough supplies to give away.  You also will NOT get all 9 cards completed but I will have a handout with the cutting template and pictures of all these cards for examples. So, remember to sign up for this class ASAP!!  I only have 1 more class this month at G.V.R. and it is on the 24th from 1 - 3 pm at the Desert Hills Social Club and we'll be creating a Tri-Fold Shutter card. More info to follow later.

Now, on to the cards....

Ok, for this card I used the Giga (3") scalloped circle punch, the Mega (2 1/2") circle punch, Prismacolor pencils, and a white gel pen.  I really like how this one turned out!

And the last one!  I just added a white spiral clip and tied on a piece of blue 1/4" ribbon along with the torn yellow cardstock layer.  Easy peasy!

So, what do you think of all the cards?

If you want to leave a comment....

I have changed the format of where you click to leave a comment on a post.  Now you will find the "comment" right under the title of the post.  I've had a couple customers call trying to find where they click.  So I hope this will be easier for you to find.  Here is a picture to give you a bit more help:

So, I would like to know  if you think this is easier to find than at the bottom amongst the time posted and labels.  Oh, and if you're looking for a particular stamp theme, tool, or whatever, check out the labels in the bottom left sidebar.  If you click on something it will bring up all the posts that have that particular label.  So, for example, Scor-Pal.  Look under Tools :Scor-Pal. Click on it and all the posts come up with the title at the top saying "Showing Posts with Label: Tools: Scor-Pal.  Showing all posts.  Now, how easy is that.

And in each post that I have a project and supplies used, if the supply/stamp set/ whatever is a different color and/or underlined, click on it and the shopping cart will pop up with that item. You can then see what all is in the stamp set and cost, or whatever it is that you're interested in and its cost.

Now, if you have any comments to help me make my blog easier for you to navigate, please leave a comment.  I also have a chat box but I only check that every 3 days or so.  You can also Contact Me to send an email.  I appreciate your visit and look forward to many more!

Here's another 3 One Sheet Wonder cards...

Are you enjoying this series of cards??  I was amazed just how fun it was to create using the technique.  Anyway, I've still got 5 cards to show and here's 3...  Oh, in case you forgot, the main stamp set is Anchor To The Soul....

I had some 1/4" blue ribbon to embellish this card.  I'm still debating what I think of using it.  What do you think??

This one is so easy!  Just a strip of torn cardstock added for emphasis. One could add buttons, bows, whatever for more embellishments but I like it as it is.

Again I used the 1" circle punch and pop dots. Kinda cool how the pattern strips "frame" the text.

So, are you bored yet??  I have 2 more cards to show!  Stay tuned!

3 more One Sheet Wonder cards...

As promised here are 3 more cards.  I got all 9 cards done in a short time.  Again, I'm used the new set, Anchor To The Soul.  It is SO cool! Here's the card....

I also used the Just Because set, the 1" circle punch, and pop dots.

I did use black cardstock layers under the squares.  I needed some added pop. Also I could have used pop dots under the squares for even more emphasis.

Here's the last card for today.  I colored the anchor with chalk pencils then sealed it as it wanted to smudge.

So, what do you think so far??
