Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree

Welcome to Stampin Hot in Arizona and the Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree blog hop! If you've come from visiting Rebecca at Someplace Elsewhere, you're in the right place!

If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our fun hop, you can go to Totally-Stamps and start at the beginning.

The theme of this blog hop is ROCKIN' AROUND THE CHRISTMAS TREE. Each blog has created a project. Be sure to visit each blog for inspiration and fun BOG CANDY.

I belong to a stamp group called the Ink Spots.  This month a few of us are involved in a "found object" challenge which consisted of 3 little wood stars.  As I was blurfing for some ideas I see a cool card and, voila! The light bulb came on!  (I love it when that happens.)

I have lots of card stock and found these kraft, beige, and burgundy colors.  I corrugated the beige and swiped with Bordeaux PH ink. I also stamped the snowflake from the Jingle Jolly set and the text from Tag Tidbits set, and colored the stars with the same ink.

I love how this card turned out!  A little burgundy raffia and some Icicle Stickles really added to the total look.

Then I thought, what about little gift boxes?  I teach at the AZ Scrapbooking store and at Green Valley Recreation (Jan,. - March) and these will be a class at each in January.

Debi, the store owner, gave us instructors some free cool card stock and I thought they'd be perfect for these.

These little boxes will hold a gift card, small jewelry, or anything fairly small.  I got on a roll making these and will post some with other themes later.

I'm not be offering Blog Candy at this time as my Blogoversary is coming up in early Feb. and I have some TAC™ stamp sets to give away then.  But PLEASE leave a comment or "rate" my card before going on to Kee Kee's blog, Life Is Scrap.

I love your projects. The details are amazing. I especially like how you crimped the kraft paper and inked it. I think I'll be scraplifting. TFS!
