Deck the Halls!!
The Angel Company™ is having a Blog Hop! They're wanting to showcase Christmas ideas such as home decor, cards, gift ideas, etc. Well, I just had to join in!
I made 2 items using Reece SWIC and matching card stock. This paper is so rich in colors! I also used the Jingle Jolly stamp set mostly because of its size in order to fit my photo holder.
Here's my 2 items. The photo holder is made from 2 wooden blocks, 1 1/2" each. They are painted, covered, and decoupaged for a shiny finish. Here's a closeup.
I colored the images with Copic markers to coordinate with the paper. An edge of each paper in the sheet has color dots to help you match your markers, pencils, whatever. I also used the Stardust Clear Gel pen to embellish the snowflake and ornament. The snowflake is stamped in Bordeaux PH ink which coordinated nicely with the paper. The photo is our lovely granddaughter Rylie.
I made a matching card using a sketch from a Paper Wings challenge this past Tuesday. The dotted paper background is from the Dotted Swiss Cuttlebug embossing folder then sanded to bring out the white.
I colored the tree with Copic markers - Y32, E55, R89, G94, and Blender. I used the Ex. Jumbo Circle punch on the brown and a 1" flower punch to make the button back. I colored the white Scrappers Floss (discontinued by manufacturer) and colored with the R89 marker and twisted with a skewer. Again, I used the Stardust Clear Gel pen on the star and ornaments.
I sure hope you check out the other blogs that are involved in the Blog Hop!! We all appreciate a comment when you visit! (PS - the first entry may not work, keep trying as the hop goes or click HERE and you'll get there.)
