World Card Making Day and a Pumpkin Patch....

Today is World Card Making Day!!!  The first Saturday of October is celebrated by card makers around the world to celebrate the creativity of handmade cards and personal touch/connection that we have with friends and family.  This day also is the day we officially start on our holiday card making!  Today I'll be involved in a craft fair in Green Valley, AZ at the AZ Scrapbooking store promoting TAC™ and selling a few items.  What are you doing to celebrate?

I've been working on my card samples for a class at the AZ Scrapbooking store on Oct. 27.  I've got 2 made and 1 to go.  I used paper purchased at the store, TPC Studio pattern paper and Bazzill cardstock (orange and brown).  The class is called Give Thanks but these 2 cards are more "fall" than thanks but the 3rd card will fit the class name.  This card uses the Autumn Leaves stamp set and Prismacolor Pencils (Dark Brown, Pumpkin Orange, and Olive Green), Noir PH ink, and the Stardust Clear Gel pen.

Can you tell that the pattern paper has a shimmer?  It's really cool!  I also used my Corner Chomper (1/2" cut) and edge distresser. I "pop dotted" the cut-out pumpkin and used the gel pen on the vines.

Here you can see the coloring (and I should have blended a bit better).  I got the "sketch" from Heather's blog   It was a challenge from Aug. 30 but I did move my pattern paper to the center of the brown.

And did you know TAC™ has discontinued stamp sets for sale???   Click HERE to see what's available and their prices!  Even some hostess sets on sale!!  I will be placing an order after Oct. 10 so contact me soon!

And, here's the LINK to great samples from the new Fall Supplement!!! You just gotta check them out!  Great inspiration for the new stamp sets that are now available along with some "golden oldies"!  You can bet I'll be hanging around this site checking out the samples!
