3 D Flower...and a bluebird

Dean had to work last Saturday so I took advantage (after 4 cups of coffee and an allergy pill) of the time to make some cards.  I need to get our daughter's card done and replenish my stash.  Most all of the paper is from my old stash.

So, are you ready?

The flower is made from using my large scallop circle punch and some left-over double-sided pattern paper from a project for the AZ Scrapbooking store in Green Valley, AZ.  I punched the circle 4 times, cut each in half, folded and taped down. I did alternate the 2 sides to give more of a contrast.  The phrase is another stamp from a soon-to-be released set in the new catty the first of July.  Goes with the Birthday Blessings stamp.

Here's a closeup of the flower.  I had to take a card apart that I made as a make 'n take a year ago to remember how to fold the circle.  The gem actually came from that sample as I think it looked better here.  This card would probably need a bubble envy to mail.

This card uses the Little Bird set and Tiny Tidbits hostess set.  I stamped the bird on the brown and also on white so that I could color it.  My closeup was horrible so you don't get to see it. I used some Fiskars scissors to cut the white layers at the bottom then used a sponge and Seascape PH ink since it matched the Prismacolor Pencil color on the bird.

What have you be stamping lately?  Let me know!
