Deer Ole' Dad...

No, I don't have a typo....   It's actually part of a phrase in one of the special sets this month called Greatest Dad!  Check out how to get yours by clicking on the April Specials tab above....  So, want to see what I made?

I played with the Marker Tapping technique from the Technique Junkies newsletter.  Pretty cool, huh! I colored the deer with Prismacolor Pencils and stamped with Noir PH ink.  I used DCWV brights cardstock stack for the dark brown cardstock, a brown button, and white scrappers floss. I also used the Mega Circle punch for the layer beneath the deer.

I used the Stardust Clear Gel pen on the eye.  You can say he has a glint in his eye, kinda makes him look like he's up to some shenanigans....   No Bambi here! LOL!

I popped the deer with foam mounting tape for a bit more dimension.  I like how this card turned out.  And, for some reason, I can make masculine cards a bit easier than feminine.  Anyone else with that problem? Anyway, I think most any guy would enjoy this card and it was very easy to make.

Love the technique - need to try that myself. It is perfect with this stamp. I wasn't liking this set but now - hmm...may have to change my mind.

This is a GREAT card! I have the opposite "problem" as you. I can make cards for girls, but have a terrible time with cards for men. I think I want to dress them up too much.
