Robot Birthday

This cute little Robot set is a June Special set and is one of the new sets coming out in our new 2009 Fall/Winter Inspiration Book. This is one fun set but I did play Dr. Frankenstein and cut the hearts out of 2 of the robots!! GASP!! (Can you hear the evil laugh??) And I cut apart one of the phrases for better use. This page was one of my "trades" at Seminar. The heart within the robot was stamped separately since this little robot is now heartless.

Stamps: Robots
Paper: Miss Moxie cardstock, white cardstock
Inks: Noir, L'Amore, and French Lilac PH

I'm Back!

I just got home from Wichita. I'm exhausted!! We probably didn't get more than 3 - 4 hours of sleep per night and last night I only got maybe 2!! So, just wanted you all to know I'm now headed to my chair for a long needed nap! Our new TAC™ 2009 Inspiration Book is WONDERFUL!! Lots of new images of all kinds!! And some new tools, like the Crop-a-dile Corner Chomper (which I'm now a proud owner) and the Scor-Bug (which I also have)! Wahoo! So this week after I catch up on almost 600 emails I'll be back to creating and posting the cool projects from our convention and playing with new stamp sets!! My catalogs should be here tomorrow and so far about 10 have been spoken for! So, I'll be back! (I hope I didn't sound like Arnold S.!)

PS. As to the comment about the video - it was of me dancing!! And NO WAY am I putting that on here! LOL! Thanks, Janee!! I love ya, girl!

Crafty Angel

I made 12 of this 6 x 6 page for trading at Seminar. The stamps are from our Seminar set that is only available to angels who attend Seminar or if you can talk one of us out of our selling our set! Don't even think it!! I like this set!!

Paper: white cardstock, Miss Moxie cardstock
Ink: Noir PH
Coloring: Prismacolor Pencils, Impress Brights markers (these were part of my starter kit from when I became an angel in 2002 and they're still going strong, but then I don't use markers a lot)

I'll be flying home today and should arrive in Tucson around 9:30 am. I'm sure I'll be catching up on my sleep for most of the day.

In Loving Memory

We recently had to put one of our loved ones to sleep. We acquired Arlene when our son, Matt, was 6 years old. Our local vet knew we were interested in getting another cat and called us on a cold, rainy fall day. When Matt seen this cute black & white baby kitten he picked her up and hugged her. She actually seemed to hug him back! That's how she joined our family. Back in 2002 when we moved from Powell, WY to eastern MT Matt stayed in Powell and got an apartment. Unfortunately there was a no pets clause so Arlene moved with us. We moved again in 2004 to eastern WY then again in Oct. 2007 to southern AZ. After a few months she seemed to change. The only thing obvious was she drank more water. Finally in April this year, while I was visiting friends, she went into convulsions. Dean built a coffin and, as humanely as possible, put her out of her misery. He and dad dug a hole in the corner of our property and buried her. Dad purchased the memory tile and he and Dean built the frame for it, painted it, and cemented it over her grave. She was 19 1/2 years old! She was not a hunter, had no interest in mousing. She loved to sit on our laps while we watched TV. My lap is empty now and there is a quietness in our home that she left. Arlene, we miss you.

If you are in the Tucson, AZ area here is the info on the gentleman who made the 12"x12" ceramic tile:
Mr. Robert Kit
2829 East Weymouth Circle
Tucson, AZ 85716
520-323-7587
He is a tremendous artist with etching as his medium. He does not have a blog or website so you can't really look at his art on line. But call him for any questions or information.

Stamps: Cat-titude (retired), With Sympathy
Paper: Too Spooky (retired), white and black cardstocks
Ink: Noir
Other: paw print brads

As you know, I'm in Wichita at this time. I wrote this post a week ago and scheduled it to post today. If you have left any comments since the 24th I cannot moderate/post them until I get back. Please be patient! And wait until you see the goodies I'll have for you!

Celebrate Anything!!

I was playing with some scraps last week and this is my result. The green cardstock I've had forever but I swiped it with my Brilliance Moonlight White then stamped the snowflakes. The white cardstock that's stamped was run through my Wizard using the Cuttlebug snowflake embossing plate and I've included a close up of the results.

Stamps: Spring Time, BooKoo Blessings
Inks: Burnt Umber, Noir & Bordeaux (stamped off once)PH, Brilliance Moonlight White
Paper: white, DCWV Brights, green
Other: Red sheer ribbon, Cuttlebug plate, Wizard diecut machine

As you know, I'm now in Wichita. This post has been prescheduled for your viewing pleasure. LOL! Almost sounds like a recording!

Angel {art}titude

Now that I'm at convention I thought I'd show you my name tag. TAC™ sent each of us the tag plus a heart to decorate. Since I like bright colors I definitely made the heart bright!

This picture is the whole name tag. On the left are some of the pins I've acquired and I will explain them shortly. On the right is my heart. I used Miss Moxie SWIC tag and cardstock, our Seminar set for all the text stamped with Noir, and gold, red, and crystal Stickles for the bling. The red felt flower is from the Ava Embellishment collection, an orange button, and red, black, and white scrapper's floss finishes out the effect. I cut slots in the heart so I could work it onto the name tag ribbon.

Here is a closeup of the bling elements of the heart.

I have more pins that this but these are my favorites. The top pin represents having been with TAC for 5 years in 2007 and the bottom is the 10th anniversary pin given to all attending angels in 2007. The middle pin is for making Team Leader given to me in 2006. I also have a pin from 2008 for having a card in the catalog but I can't wear that this year. I did submit 13 projects for catalog consideration so hopefully.....

I created this post last week and scheduled it for publishing today.

Red, White, and Brown

This is a color combination challenge we had on Paper Wings last week. I also needed to make a Thank You card for a friend to give to someone. I pierced the red and brown cardstocks by using a piece of plastic canvas to align my holes. Worked pretty good!

Stamps: Sprigs, Thank You GWP
Paper: White Premium, Red and Brown DCWV Brights cardstock stack
Ink: Noir
Coloring: Prismacolor H2O Pencils, Niji Water Brush
Other: Paper Piercer, silver ribbon

I really like the looks of this card. It is difficult to see the piercing and you can sand this white core cardstock to get more emphasis on the piercings.

I'm back on my soapbox

I've updated my personal blog today. Please read, it's important to your Freedom of Religion and Freedom of Speech rights. The link is in the lower left column under Personal Blog. Thanks.

Double Bugged

Catchy title, huh! Actually it's a technique I learned from the Technique Junkies! To learn this and oh so many more, just click on the logo down in the left column. Pat has specials going on from time to time and this newsletter is the best! If you subscribe, please let her know that you heard of TJ from me!! Now, back to this card... I love bright colors and my hubby said you need sunglasses for this one! I think he's right! But it is cheery!

Stamps: Pea Pickin' (a May special)
Paper: White, chartreuse
Ink: Noir, Chartruese
Punches: 3" circle punch, Mega Circle
Other: Prismacolor Pencils, ribbon, Cuttlebug embossing folders, Wizard die-cut machine, Edge Distresser

I'll be heading out to Wichita in 2 days!! Can't believe it's already here! I sure covet your prayers for good flights to and from and great weather while there! They sure have been getting the thunderstorms for the past few weeks! Last year we had a couple little showers and a great cloud formation that looked like angel wings! I have proof! I got a picture!! Anyway, I'll be home Sunday afternoon and will start posting our projects. Happy stamping!

Crinkled Horse

Actually crinkling is a technique I taught at Green Valley, AZ last year. I included the directions for this technique in a newsletter I sent out to my TAC customers this past week. The white layer is embossed with a leather look but it's hard to see. In real life it's pretty cool! And the horse set is absolutely one of my favorites and the Be Still set is one of my favorite text sets. I love Scripture verses. I do have a tutorial shown and if you look under Resources in the left side menu you can click on the link or maybe it will show up in the "You might like these stories" under this post.

Stamps: Hieroglyph Horses, Be Still
Paper: DCWV cardstock, white cardstock
Inks: Prussian Blue PH
Other: Corner Rounder, blue brads, Fiskars texture plate, Wizard diecut machine

I forgot my password!!

Actually, no, I didn't. But if you have these little books are wonderful to keep track of them! There are 10 pages with 2 entries per page. And these are the exact same color! The light did affect the photo. Anyway, the one on the left is in Spanish which means Blessings. It's a special gift for my roommate from Puerto Rico during Seminar next week! I have a book for each of my roomies.

Stamps: Spanish Sentiments, Little Things, Edge Designs
Paper: Neutrals Chipboard Stack, DCWV Neutrals cardstock, white
Punches: Mega Scallop Oval, 2 small flowers
Inks: Noir PH, Hint of Pesto VM
Other: Bind-It-All, CM Creative Cutting System, Sanding Block, brad, ribbon

I have made and posted some of these previously. To see them just click HERE and HERE.
I hope to make a bunch more to sell. We'll see how much I get accomplished this summer!!

On line Ordering and Catalog Update

For your advance planning, please note that the on-line ordering system will be taken down at 5:00 PM CST, Friday June 26, and will remain down until after 5:00 PM CST, Tuesday, June 30, as we update inventory related to the change in catalogues.

I'll have a blue Christmas

I decided to do Diana's Wednesday challenge today. Diana is one of my roommates at Seminar next week. And since I have all my "trades" and "specials" ready for Seminar I can play a bit!

Stamps: Ornamental Snowflakes, Joy
Inks: Agean Blue VM, Brilliance Moonlight White & Pearl. Sky Blue
Paper: misc from stock
Other: Cloud decorative scissors, 1/16" hold punch

The Changing Skies of Arizona

I've been fascinated with the different skies here in southern AZ and this page was born. The colors are amazing and the sky changes frequently.

The top left is a double rainbow taken a couple weeks ago, middle left is early morning, bottom left is sunset, and top right is snow from this past January! If you look closely at the map in the middle right you can see a dot (where the blue arrow is pointing) of where we live. We are about 30 miles north of the Mexico border. The stickers are very dimensional. I've had these for a while and wanted to use them. I think they go well with this page. I don't normally use stickers but do have quite a stock!

Paper: All My Memories embossed 12 x 12 (we used to carry this)
Stamps: Simple-Bet, Interact (this set was a special a while back)
Ink: Starry Night
Stickers: Reminisce

Have you tried scrapping your local scenery?

Important info about the new catalog & Discontinued Products

The Gift With Purchase (GWP) plan will be discontinued as the current catalogue comes to an end and replaced with a Purchase With Purchase (PWP) plan. In an effort to keep the program an incentive for customers and hostesses, the images have been reasonably priced at $2.95 each for every $30 purchase. Additionally, the size of the stamp has been slightly enlarged. The new PWP stamps are 2.5% larger that the GWP images. We know that the GWP was a well-loved program, but unfortunately, the time has come to make a transition to a new program as we continue our efforts to make smart business decisions.

Please note that the last day to place an order from the current catalogue is Friday, June 26. Orders will be accepted from the new 2009-2010 Inspiration Book & Catalogue beginning July 1.

Please note that the following items have been discontinued from the current catalogue and are no longer available for ordering purposes:
G-717 9x9 Chocolate Faux Leather Album
V-811 Red Tote-Ally Cool Tote 2

It's a Beautiful Day!!

Not only is the weather great but this is the name of a stamp set we have!

I have a few "kits" from a party last week where not all the guests showed up! Anyway, I decided to create some cards using them and 1 stamp set. What do you think of these? The birds on the card on the far right are paper pieced and the other 2 cards they're just colored with pencils. I still have 3 kits to go so will be working on those.

Stamps: Beautiful Day, Script Background on large flower
Inks: Noir PH and Maulted Mauve VM (on flower)
Paper: Angelee SWIC, Bazzil Purples, white
Other: white blossum, Angelee ribbon, purple brads, Prismacolor pencils

I will be busting my buns this week getting projects done and scheduling posts for when I'm gone to Wichita, KS for our annual convention. I would appreciate prayers for good weather and easy flights from the 24th through the 28th. Last year we had great weather but a very turbulent flight from Denver to Wichita. Anyway, back to the grind!!

Cupcakes + Brownies + Cookies = A Happy Meal

Do you like to play with your food?? Here is a site where food is play!! And if you read the rest of her blog you'll find some great recipes! I like to cook/bake and I hope to try a some of her stuff. I just don't like to cook in the summer as my a/c will run more and my electric bill goes sky high! But wait until this winter!! Wahoo! I think my hubby will enjoy some of these!!

Joy and Snowflakes

Here's my card for my monthly commitment. I miss the snows of northwest WY. I've lived there most of my life. Here in sunny southern AZ there rarely is snow (but it has snowed!). Anyway, here's what I came up with.

Here is a closeup of the medallion. The mounting tape under the scalloped circle and snowflake circle really help "pop" the medallion. I also stamped in the larger circles in the pattern paper.

Stamps: Christmas Circles, Ornamental Snowflakes
Paper: Paperbilities pattern paper, grey & white cardstocks
Punches: Giga Scallop Circle, Ex. Jumbo Circle, 1/8" hole punch
Inks: Agean Sea, VersaMark, Brilliance Moonlight White, Brilliance Sky Blue
Other: Silver E.P., Souffle Gelly Pens, foam mounting tape (or Pop Dots)

By the time November gets here I'll have over 100 cards made! I send cards to my customers, friends, and, of course, family! And I hope to sell some and give some as gifts. Will you be ready for Christmas?? Just do a few a month, no pressure!

Last of the Petals

Here is my 4th and final card using the Petal Pack stamp set and the Scor-Pal. This scoring on this card is a tight diamond grid, in fact, it's the other "1/2" of scored piece of the other red card.

Stamps: Petal Pack, Feel Better (hostess set)
Paper: red, yellow, and white cardstocks
Inks: L'Amore, Sunflower, and Virdian Green
Other: Scor-Pal, ribbon

Did you enjoy my series? Would you like to see another? Just let me know what set you'd like me to use and, if I have it, I'll do some cards!

Sample some new stamp sets!

Have you checked out TAC™ website lately? There are some great samples using some of the new sets coming out.

Just click HERE to see individual samples! Did you see the little barrettes with the skulls? I just got in an order and can't wait to play with the little robots!! And I'll be heading to Seminar in less than 2 weeks!! It's coming up fast! I do have 20 new catalogs ordered and about 5 are already spoke for so if you're wanting one contact me to reserve!

Petals Forever!

Here is the 3rd card of my series using Petal Pack and the Scor-Pal. This card also has a diamond grid and the stamps are placed in the center of each diamond. There is red stickles at the intersections of the grids.

Stamps: Petal Pack, Little Things
Paper: red, yellow, chartreuse, and white cardstocks
Ink: L'Amore and Sunflower
Other: Scor-Pal, ribbon, white scrappers floss, Red Stickles

Are you enjoying my series? I have 1 to go!

Friday, June 12, 2009

More Petals!

Here's the second card I created using my Scor-Pal and Petal Pack stamps. I scored a tight diamond grid and stamped on every "intersection" of the grid. This didn't quite turn out the way I wanted but I still like the looks of it.

Stamps: Petal Pack, Feel Better (hostess set)
Paper: red, yellow, and white cardstocks
Inks: L'Amore, Sunflower, Virdian Green
Other: Scor-Pal, ribbon

There are 2 more cards using Petal Pack and the Scor-Pal. Stay tuned!

Sneak Peek #9

This is the last sneak peek. What'd you think so far? Anyway, this darling little angel is part of the Jeans & Wings set, $17.95 for 9 stamps. There's 3 adorable country girl angels and phrases. This is one of my favorites and would be great for any gal! Another great set to color!

So, have I gotten your attention with these 9 peeks? I'll be heading to Wichita the 24th for TAC's annual Seminar and will have catalogs upon my return home. I'm not sure yet when you can start ordering but I think it will be July 1. It may take that long for the catalog to be up on the online catalog and shopping cart. I will be hard pressed to keep from ordering as soon as we can!

Father's Day Tri-Shutter Card!

A few of us angels are doing another blog hop in honor of Father's Day. I chose to make a TriShutter card for my husband. I also made one for my dad but I cannot post it until July 1. Anyway, this card was a real challenge. I don't really have much for stamps that really suit him but he is starting to restore our 1947 International 1 ton pickup so the set Cars got used. I used the set Swirly-Bet to spell out his name and little Scrabble sticky tiles for our last name. Rather cool. I used Rustic Chic Wing-It paper because I liked the colors and a sheet of coordinating DCWV cardstock for the base card. I also used my Scor-Pal to score my folds. I think it is my most favorite tool and it rarely leaves my worktable!

I also used a retired set called About a Boy for the images on the far right panel between the cute cars and truck eyelets (who knows where I got those!), Trendy Greetings and Feel Better hostess set for the rest of the stamped images. I also used coordinating buttons, a silver spiral clip, white scrapper's floss, and Tea Leaves and Turquoise Gem VersaMagic inks. I think he'll really like it! I still need to make cards for our 2 sons but I have many masculine cards already made so will adapt a couple for them. One of our sons is still single but does have a very serious girlfriend so I usually make him a "Happy Man's Day" card! Maybe someday he'll actually get a Father's day card but no pressure here!

Sneak Peek #8

I don't know yet what I think of this set. It's cute but I'm seeing characters from Tim Burton's Nightmare on Christmas Eve!! Maybe it's just my imagination. Anyway, this set is called Sunday Afternoon, set of 8 for $12.95. It's a great set to color and has phrases to boot! I may learn to love this one!

Petals, Petals, and more Petals

I taught a technique class yesterday at a LSS in Green Valley, AZ and had a few "kits" left over. We played with scoring using a tool kinda similar to the Scor-Pal. This card I scored a diamond grid and stamped in between the scores to place my images. There is red stickles in the yellow flowers and gold stickles in the center of the red flowers. It really added some bling!

Stamps: Petal Pack, Laughter (hostess set)
Paper: red, yellow, and white cardstocks
Inks: L'Amore, Sunflower
Other: Red & Gold Stickles, Scor-Pal

I will be posting 3 more cards using my Scor-Pal and Petal Pack stamps so stay tuned!

Sneak Peek #7

Now, does this have your attention?? There are 3 stamps in this set, 2 are borders. It sells for $12.95 and is called Happy Thoughts. I can see this on a camping or outdoors scrapbook page, masculine or feminine card, whatever! What can you imagine??

Tuesday, June 9, 2009

Sneak Peek #6

This cool set is to work with the Funny Farm set. Don't you just love this saying!! It's called Funny Farm Phrases, a set of 12 for $17.95. This is another of my gotta haves!! You know, I resemble this remark! LOL!

Monday, June 8, 2009

Sneak Peek #5

Now, you can tell this is a pig but there are 5 stamps in this Funny Farm set for $12.95. This is a set I just gotta have!!! We used to farm in northwestern Wyoming though we didn't raise any animals (just had my horse). This is just too much fun! Wait until you see the word set that comes with this! OMG! Just hilarious!

Home Decor

I did not get my project done (much less started) for this post but here is something I made a few years ago. The stamps are now retired but use your imagination!

I used an alphabet, snowmen, and snowflake stamps to do this. I stamped special paper (I need to find the brochure so I can't tell you the company) and sent it in to the company - along with some $$, of course! I've also made coasters, bowls, and coffee mugs from this company with great results!

Sneak Peek #4

This is from a set of 5. Isn't it cool! So detailed! This set will cost $8.95 in the new Inspiration book. It's called Wishing Happiness. I'll have the new catalogs the end of this month! I'm excited!!

Stamp Party Projects

Today I have a stamp party to do. I'm showcasing the Scor-Pal, my favorite tool! Most of the guests have never stamped before so I'm doing rather simple projects.

This card uses DCWV white core cardstock, white cardstock, Spring Dream stamp set, Noir PH ink, Prismacolor Pencils, and a sanding block.

This card is identically scored on the upper right and lower left corners. I used Bazzil Browns cardstock, Friendly Greetings stamp set (a special from a while back), Burnt Umber PH ink, and Giga Scallop square punch. I'm still trying to decide if I should color the little cowboy, what do you think?? (After receiving a couple comments I did color the cowboy. His hat is blue, the scarf is red, and his mustache is grey. Kinda reminds me of Sam Elliot.)

This is the card everyone will be making. The paper is Angelee SWIC, Bazzil Purples, and white cardstock. I used Beautiful Day stamp set, Noir PH ink, and Prismacolor Pencils. It is a simple card but sometimes simple still has a great look. Hopefully the party will go good. The hostess is highly interested in becoming an "angel". I met her at my class last month at the AZ Scrapbook Store in Green Valley, AZ.

This next week I hope to get lots of creating done. I have pics from our WY trip of our children and such. I really want to do some scrapping. Plus I have some 6 x 6 scrapbook pages to make for trades for our TAC annual convention. Plus I have a horrible head cold right now so I'm not getting much done at all! So, I hope you have a great weekend!!

Sneak Peek #3

Here's a Hostess C set. This one comes with a $500 order plus a Hostess A and Hostess B sets and 1/2 price items.

Can you see this as a shaker card? Or covered with Prisma Glitter?? Maybe emboss the base on metallic paper?? Just too cool!!

Friday, June 5, 2009

Owl's It Going??

This is another trade for TAC's annual Seminar later this month. I really like our Miss Moxie SWIC and cardstock as they're so bright and cheery! I also used Artsy Owls and What a Hoot sets, Miss Moxie ribbon, Noir PH ink, a scrap of white cardstsock, Prismacolor Pencils, and a stapler.

I still have some 6x6 scrapbook pages and specials to make but hope to get them started soon.

Thursday, June 4, 2009

Sneak Peek #2

Here is another Hostess set! This one is free with orders of $250 or more! And when you have an order that size you also get a Hostess A set and 1/2 price items!

These sayings are great! And I like the font! I may have to try to get this one!!

Red tree and Love and Laughter

This is one of my trades for Seminar this month. It's very colorful, don't you think?

Stamp set: Love and Laughter
Paper: Miss Moxie SWIC and Miss Moxie Cardstock, white cardstock
Ink: L'Amore and Noir

Other: Pop Dots

I swiped my Noir ink pad along all paper edges. I think this really adds depth and I really like the distressed look. I made 48 of these "card fronts". These are not full cards but this can be adhered to a folded 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" card. I'm working on another 48 card fronts using the same paper but different images. I'll post a picture when I get them done. They're way more time consuming to make.

Sneak Peak #1

I'm giving you a sneak peak of 9 new sets that will be in the new Fall/Winter Inspiration Book and Catalogue!
This set is a Hostess A set. You can get it FREE when you order $100 or more in merchandise! Isn't it cool!! You can hold a "book party" (get friends together and just have catalogue sales), contact me so I can make sure you get all the benefits, and get this as a bonus! Anyway, I'll be posting a total of 9 new sets starting with this one! Stay tuned!!

Marking my place

This is a book mark I made as part of the Winger team on Paper Wings. I have lots of Sizzix dies and a Wizard die cut machine which is how I did the big flowers (made from chipboard) and paper to cover them.
Stamps: Flutter By (retiring end of this month), Tag Tidbits
Ink: Noir PH
Paper: Sands of Time SWIC, scrap of white cardstock
Acces: Prismacolor Pencils, Crystal Lacquer, wire, OMS (odorless mineral spirits), blending stump, Pop Dot

Here is a closeup of the butterfly. Not long after creating this my cat has chewed some holes in the butterfly but I'm still using it!!
