OMG! What a sale! You don't want to miss out on this! From Jan. 6 - 26 you can chose ANY T-coded stamp at 1/2 price!! Please contact me for your order!!! You can bet I'm getting those sets that I've been wanting!!

Last sneak peak of new stamp sets

I'll go ahead and give you the last stamp set sneak peak now.

This set is called Playful Parentheses, a set of 5 rather large stamps, and will sell for $17.95. Again, these would look great on a scrapbook page! Very elegant, aren't they? I bet my friend, Sandy, in Lusk, WY will like these! I love the text fonts of these! So, now that you have seen all 7 of the sneak peeks, don't forget they'll be available Feb. 1, 2009!! And I will be ordering about 20 Megalogues (just don't know what it will sell for yet) so if you're interested in reserving one please contact me and I'll have one reserved for you!!

Great award received!

I received this award from an angelhood member, Lori!
This blog invests and believes in the PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.

As to passing this on, there are so many deserving winners and so many that I follow have received this so at this time I will not be passing this on. Instead I want to say thanks to those whose blogs I read regularly for the great ideas they pass on. And I hope everyone has a great New Year and that tonight you reflect on the greatness of God for your protection in 2008 and for His provision and blessings for 2009.

A fun technique

I will be teaching classes for the next 3 months and this technique will be one of three being taught Jan. 14 at Green Valley, AZ. I used "The Morning Buzz" stamp set which is a hostess gift for orders or parties of $250 or more net. The technique is called Faux Silk. I'm not going to explain it here since it is a class. I will be posting cards using the other techniques soon.
By the way, I still have one more "sneak peek" coming! But you'll just have to stay posted!

Now, have you created a card using TAC stamps?? Do you want me to feature your card here?? Just send me a photo of it and I'll showcase it! Then you can tell your friends you are "published on the web"!! So, start creating!

Do you want another sneak peak?

Ok! This is the next to the last sneak peak! Are you excited? This set is great for coloring!

It's called Little Stinkers, a set of 4, for $12.95. Aren't the little rascals cute? The little ballerina skunk and the little boy skunk would be great for scrapping! Even the little one in the tub would be excellent for a first bath for a baby! Have I got your imagination going?

Creative Juices have been working!

Back in August I had to create something for Paper Wings website. You can check out the gallery there for all kinds of great projects and cards! The cards are arranged according the the stamp set used.

Anway, I made an advent book. Here you can see an inside page. I did get the numbers backward and I thank my sister-in-law for pointing that out so now this page has the 16 days until Christmas label. I got the idea from Heather Scott's blog and Julie Griffith's blog and, I must say, it turned out great (other than having the circle tags backward). This was also rather time-consuming as each red page was cut out by hand. Heather had a PDF file of the verses so that was really a great help.

I used Merry Wishes SWIC (which is retired), Hillary Embellishment Jar, Trendy Greetings set, Christmas Check List set, L'Amore & Noir PH inks, white scrapper's floss, lots of red cardstock, white cardstock, binder rings (or whatever they're called), the Extra Jumbo Circle Punch (1 1/2"), and red sheer ribbon. Again, mom wanted it but I was not ready to give this up. Maybe I'll make some more but I will have to purchase a bunch of red cardstock. I think it took about 5 sheets to do the individual pages. The whole thing was created out of a covered Starbucks coffee sleeve! Can you recognize the shape??

It's cold tonight here south of Tucson, AZ. We had quite a frost last night and another for tonight. Check my Livin' Hot blog for a great picture of Mount Hopkins yesterday!

Another sneak peak of a new stamp set

Have you enjoyed seeing the 4 new sets I've already posted? Well, here's another!

This set is called Beautiful Day. It's a set of 17 stamps and will sell for $21.95. Isn't it great?! It will be on my list for purchase.

I hope to try something new this new year. I would like to feature the artwork of one of my readers that isn't a TAC "angel" but you must use TAC stamps! If you are interested please contact me. Also, are there any questions that you have that you need an answer for? Any product that we carry that you'd like to see featured? I would like to make my blog more inspirational and informative.

So, did you get any new stamps or crafting products for Christmas? Would love to hear about them. So please post a comment!

Happy Birthday, Jesus!!

What a glorious day to celebrate the birthday of our Lord and Savior, Jesus!

This card was made over a year ago using a retired set called The Only Thing. Jesus is the only thing that really matters. May your heart be turned toward Him today for your salvation. "Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means "God is with us"). Isaiah 7:14

Christmas Eve

As we celebrate Christmas I want to praise God for the blessings He's given us this past year, my family and our children and their families, Dean's job, our home, and most of all, my salvation. I also want to thank Him for the gift of His son, Jesus, sent to take on the sins of the world so that we may have a relationship with Him.

Here is another "sneak peak" of another stamp set that will be available with our new Megalogue coming out Feb. 1. It's called You Are and will retail for $8.95.

I still have one gift to make for my stepdaughter but she knows it will be late. I hope to start it maybe on Friday. I did get lots of cards made but not sent. I hope to be more organized next year, hmmmm.... That could be a resolution! Tonight I will start a breakfast casserole for our brunch tomorrow. Mom and Dad will come over and we'll open our gifts before my hubby goes to work.

May you have a very blessed Christmas!

It's so close to Christmas, shall I be sneaky again?

Yeah!! Here's another new set coming out in our Megalogue about Feb. 1!

This one is called True Beauty and will sell for $21.95 and is a set of 5. I bet my sis Sandi will love this one!! She's a "victorian nut" and I say that in much love! So, have you been enjoying the sneak peaks? I haven't had time to do any stamping but hopefully tomorrow I'll get my worktable cleaned off, find some stuff that got moved, send out more cards, and have a chance to play.

So, please keep warm and dry wherever you are, have a cup of hot chocolate, and kick back!
Merry Christmas!

Another sneaky peak!

Do you want to see another new stamp set that will be available in the new Megalogue?
This one is called Everything's Blooming and will cost $17.95. A great set for scrapbooking your garden or yard or even your little girl or granddaughter! And, in case you noticed, we did have a small price increase but at least the price of gas has dropped!!

It's getting so close to Christmas! I hope you have a very blessed one this year!

A Sneaky Peak

So, would you like to see a new stamp set that's coming out in our Megalogue about February 1, 2009?

This set is called Shower of Love and will sell for $12.95. What a great set to make cards and invitations for those bridal or baby showers you go to!

Now, keep watching for more sneaky peaks! I have 6 to go! Merry Christmas!!!

Paper Wings Secret Sister Swap

I joined a group of "angels" on Paper Wings this past fall for a secret sister swap. She spoiled me with great cards and a Tim Holtz ruler up to now. Today I received my Christmas gift and I'm so excited! The first pictures shows the way she wrapped the items.
The second picture shows the great gifts. She made the Jack-in-the-box using a wooden block, a styrafoam ball and misc. papers and embellishments! And the card to the left is just beautiful! I really appreciate my secret sis, Kim Spears! She spoiled me and I can't wait to play with my new stuff! Thanks, Kim!

Large Gift Card Holders

My dad wanted gift card holders that didn't look like they were holding gift cards! Now go figure!
So, I used 5 of our (TAC's) medium jewel boxes and made slider covers! I used some old Basic Grey DP and stamps! I used Christmas Fun, Ornamental Snowflakes, a current GWP, and a retired set. I also used Prismacolor Pencils, Stickles, a large scallop circle punch, the Mega Circle punch, the Giga Scallop Square punch, the Mega Scallop Oval punch, and the Super Scallop Oval punch (don't have the link right now). My Dad just loved them! The gift card were wrapped with tissue paper so you're not really sure what' in the box! Pretty cool if I say so myself!!

These little trees are made out of 3 $5 bills each! I did a couple more little boxes like the ones above to put these in. They are for my niece and nephew. I wonder how long they'll stay looking like this? I "googled" money origami and found the directions for these! Kinda unique way of sending money.

How are you coming along with your Christmas gifts? I'm finally getting some decorations up. Got all the gifts purchased.

More Blog Hopping Creations

A bunch of us "angels" decided to do a theme for today relating to winter. Well, in New Hampshire they are definitely having winter. My card uses a "masked frame" technique I learned at Technique Junkies. I would highly recommend getting the newsletter for many great techniques!I used Ornamental Snowflakes for this card. It was fast, fun, and easy! I also used white & navy cardstock, Starry Night PH ink, and navy ribbon. Rather elegant, wouldn't you say??

Here's some other angels who are taking part in this theme. Check out their work! Just click on their names (and please let me know if the link doesn't work!) and see their beautiful projects!

Christmas Ornaments

I finally finished 12 little sleds for personalized Christmas ornaments! Here is the photo of them! What a job! You can see the names on some but a few have the names in gold emboss which does make them a bit harder to see.
I purchased the little wooden sleds at Jo-Anns for $1 each. I primed with white gesso then painted or sprayed with craft paint, Lumiere paint, or Walnut ink, depending on the paper used. All paper is from our SWIC collections. I used Prima Flowers, the Embellishment Jars, sequins, brads, ribbon, stickles, scrapper's floss, whatever to decorate. I'm hoping everyone likes theirs. The top right has Jesus embossed on it from our Our Savior set along with some phony rhinestones. This will be part of a gift for our church ladies party tonight. The names are embossed using the retired Angel Plate Alphabet as I really like the size. I used decorative snow on the runners.

I still have a couple gifts to make. I finished another last night and plan to post it soon. So, are you working feverishly to get ready for Christmas??

Wonderful News!

The Angel Company announced today that they are returning to 1 annual Inspiration Book & Catalogue with all stamp images shown at 100% of size! It will be released in June at our yearly convention! In place of the spring and fall supplements they will publish two magalogues (a combination magazine and catalogue with a more seasonal focus), with new hostess sets along with new stamp sets and products!! I am so excited!! So, the first of February 2009 we will be releasing the first Megalogue with new stamps and products! I don't know the price yet but if you are interested in purchasing one please contact me of your intent. When I know the price I will post it here along with the postage. Your megalogue price will be refunded with a $100 purchase.

I hope to have some projects ready to post tomorrow. I've been making ornaments and such for Christmas. I just hope my family don't look until after Christmas or some will know what they're getting! I've also made 4 varieties of fudge and 2 more to go. I'll post the recipies on my Livin' Hot blog soon.

Do you know that Christmas is 17 days away!!!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Boy, the stores are all out in Christmas decorations already! They are beautiful but I miss references to Christ our LORD in most all that I see. I did play a bit tonight since I got no stamping done last week. This card uses the Pattern Paper technique showcased in the Christmas magazine in Scor-Pal. It sure creates a fun look to my card, don't you think??
Anyway, I used the Joy of Christmas stamp set, my Scor-Pal, Bordeaux and Jardin Moss PH inks, Just For You hostess set, and burgundy and white cardstocks.

I have almost 75 Christmas cards made for sending out. I will have to purchase stamps and envelopes and hope to do that soon. Are you ready?

I have already received a Christmas card from my friend Chris in Lusk, WY along with some plastic vitamin containers. She made a potpourri container for me and gave me a couple to try my hand. It may not happen before Christmas as I have much to do. I start teaching classes next week, have a craft table at a Farmer's Market on the 11th, a craft table at Curves on the 15th, and 3 Christmas parties (with gifts for the white elephant exchange for all) by the 20th! My brother and his wife will be here on the 18th and leave the 21st. I still need to get some crafts made and work on my Christmas gifts! I have some ideas but it's just getting to them! So, how are you coming along with your Christmas gifts? Are you making more this year? I also have 5 fudge recipes to make as gifts since I'm making most of our gifts. I will post these on my Livin' Hot blog if they turn out. So, I hope you're getting ready for the day of celebrating Christ's birth!

More Christmas cards!

I made these cards as part of a Scor-Pal display board for my FUNshop yesterday. I demo'd the Scor-Pal and my 2 hostesses each bought one as their 1/2 price items! What fun!

The top green card uses the Ornamental Snowflakes set, Brights DCWV Cardstock Stack, Giga Scallop Square punch, Corru-gator, sanding block, scrap of white cardstock, and Chartreuse PH ink. A very non-traditional card, don't you think??

The 2nd card uses the Love & Laughter set, Neutrals DCWV Cardstock Stack, scrap of white cardstock, and Oasis Green VersaMagic ink. You can probably stamp text over the tree like Happy Birthday or Happy Anniversary in Noir PH ink and personalize the card for a specific use.

This last card I think is pretty wild, too! I used Mini Occasions set (which is great for using on your mailing labels or business cards!) , the GWP Greetings (you can get this one free with a qualifying $30 order), Red cardstock, White cardstock, L'Amore PH ink (stamped off once for the package), Chartreuse PH ink, and the Tonic Corner Rounder. I may make more of these as I like this look.

I really like my Scor-Pal. I even purchased the mat from Scor-Pal direct and keep these right on my work desk. They have so many really cool projects on their site. There are quite a few from fellow "angels" so please take a look! Now, back to your regularly scheduled program..... LOL!

Retiring Stamp Sets and other information

Good news!! Basically no sets will be retiring soon! Some may not be in the new catalog coming out in February 2009 but they will be available online! And, if you go the TAC™'s home page you can click on Creative Corner and see new projects! Have you entered TAC™'s drawing for the Penelope/Sydney products?? Time is running short!

I seen a short video today on how to subscribe to blogs! So cool! It's called "RSS in Plain English". Click here to see! You may have to watch it a few times or pause and rewind but it is pretty good! I'm hoping that after the first of the year to change my blog to another server and use my stampingcarol.com domain name that is currently going to my website with all the albums. I hope this will make my blog more professional and informative. We'll see how the economy and Dean's job (there has been many layoffs at his place of employment) goes as to what I do.

So, have you stamped anything today? Do you realize that Christmas is a little over a month away?? GASP!! Have you started shopping or making anything yet?? You can purchase stamps and supplies for that special stamping buddy by going to my online catalog/shopping cart! I plan on making most our gifts this year as $$ are a bit tight. So, I'll be making cookies, candy, fudges, and some stamped items. Got some projects done already and some have been posted but I did not mention who gets what! I did purchase some small things for friends but Sandi, you'll just have to wait ! (Bet I get a phone call on this comment!) I had a craft table at a Farmer's Market today and only sold enough to cover the cost of the table, ouch! I'll try again on Dec. 11 and push Christmas! Hopefully I'll do way better. Everyone that walked by my table had to handle my denim rugs but no one was buying! Well, I'm pooped and it's late so I'm headed to bed. 'Night all!

New Promotions!

I added a December Specials slideshow to showcase the great stamps and benefits you can get! Just click on a photo in the slideshow to open an album for the great deals!

Remember our Double Dips promotion will be ending on Dec. 3, 2008! When you purchase through me and not my online catalog/shopping cart you earn double GWP stamps, and if your order totals more than $100 net you get double the hostess awards and 1/2 price items! Just a short time left so email me with your order and we'll work out your credit card number. Your order will be shipped directly to your home!

Accordian Card

I have been working hard to get ready for a party on Friday and I will be showcasing the Scor-Pal. This is one of the most wonderful tools I have (maybe tied with the Crop-a-Dile) and it never leaves my worktable (except for parties!).
I've created a bunch of cards but haven't scanned them yet. But I needed to post something and this card just turned out so good! What do you think? The top photo is the card closed and the bottom photo is the card open.

Stamps used: Joy of Christmas, Simple Bet, Good Timber, and Inspirational Sayings.
Paper: Reece SWIC & cardstock, 12" white cardstock (cut down to 5 1/2" x 12")
Misc: Scor-Pal, Crystal Lacquer
Ink: Hint of Pesto VersaMagic

You can find many great projects using your Scor-Pal at their website. Just click here!

Magnetic Clips

I had to create something for our Paper Wings birthday party this summer and this is what I came up with. I found these magnetic clips at Walmart for about $1.50 each. I picked out some of our great pattern papers and cut them to size. I embellished then taped them to the clips with Wonder Tape. Can you see these on your fridge holding your child's or grandchild's school artwork or something? Just too cute!!

For embellishments I used Paper Posies, Assorted Bitty Blossoms, mini brads, ribbon, and tags to coordinate with the chosen paper. The candle on the top clip is made from a strip of the pattern paper and the flame I created by hand. Sometimes the stores will have these clips on sale so keep looking!!

4 Fast & Easy Christmas Cards

I have a class on Friday to teach some gals 4 easy cards. Only 1 has ever stamped but all the others have never picked up a stamp to my knowledge. So, what do you think of these cards? They are very easy yet I think they have a simple elegance. I'll be charging $5 but hope to get some orders.

These first 2 cards use the Christmas Season and Whimsical Greetings sets. The top candle card also uses Gold Stickles glitter glue, Cognac PH ink, white cardstock, Yellow Bazzill cardstock collection, and a flower punch I have. The Madonna & Child card uses Noir PH ink, Watercolor Crayons, Niji Water Brush, Bubblegum Paper Posies, black and white cardstock, Tonic corner rounder, and Reds Bazzill collection.

These next 2 cards uses the Snowman Nativity stamp set, Pop Rockz Classic SWIC collection, premium white & black cardstocks, Giga Scallop circle punch, Mega circle punch, Prismacolor Pencils, Icicle Stickles, and Fiskars Treading Water border punch.

My mom said she was coming to the class for moral support. You should have seen her face when I said if she comes she's staming! What a hoot! Then I showed her the 4 cards and she said which one was she going to have to do. Another great look when I said all 4. She has held stamps before but only to purchase for me! Anyway, I hope to have about 7 - 8 gals. The $$ will help pay for more paper as I'm way down in my stash. And I have some projects I want to do!
So, are you going to try these nice and easy card designs??

Wednesday, November 5, 2008

Boy, another Christmas card...

I tried a color combo challenge on Paper Wings and this was the result! What do you think?
Paper: DCWV cardstock stack - brown & robin's egg blue, scrap of cream
Stamp: Joy of Christmas
Ink: Turquoise Gem VersaMagic, Moonlight White Brilliance
Misc: Stickles, Hillary Embellishment Jar, silver brad
Cuttlebug Snowflake embossing folder, Wizard diecut machine by Spellbinders
This card really sparkles in real life. There's even some Stickles in the design areas of the JOY. You can sort of see them in the picture. I'm really into non-traditional colors for Christmas and most of the cards I have posted show this.

This card is also part of an Angel Blogger Challenge. We had to use either Joy of Christmas or Holly Swirls (which I don't have). To see more cards with these to sets just visit the following blogs:
Sara
Laurie U.
KellyRae - 1 & 2
Tonya
Diane - 1 & 2
Laurie W.

Melisa
As more angels join the challenge I'll get them added.

JOY Frame

I purchased this frame from Joann's a couple weeks ago and here's what I came up with!

Paper used: Kamahlat (retired) and matching alphabet stickers
Stamps: Inspirational Sayings, Tag Tidbits
Inks: Noir PH, White Gel pen
Embellishments: buttons, florals, ribbon, scrapper's floss
I tried to take real close up photos but they blurred. Anyway, on the lower left and upper right of the frame I stamped Come Let us Adore Him, on the lower right is Peace on Earth, and on the upper left is Happy Holiday. I stamped these to be part of the background. I sponged around the J O Y then outlined them to make them pop. I really like the effect.

This weekend I joined KellyRae Cooper from Coolidge, AZ in attending the big Rubber Stamp Fall Fiesta in Mesa, AZ. We had a ball! There were 33 vendors (5 years ago when I attended I think there was double this) and we did a make 'n take at the After Midnight Art Stamps booth
(I will post this later). I met Kathy McGuire who teaches stamp projects on an AZ TV station and many of KellyRae's friends. We purchased some great "toys" and just had a ball! Saturday night KellyRae taught me an album she made at the Washington Angel Gathering last (?) month. Char Wilson taught it at the gathering and it is just adorable! Takes a lot of paper and when I get more embellishments on it then I will show the finished album (without pictures, probably). We also went to a huge scrapbook store that was having a "yard sale". That was hard on my plastic card but I got some great stuff for my Paper Wings secret sister and me!
So, I now need to get dressed and head off for Curves!

Please remember to vote tomorrow. Remember that Obama has a very pro-abortion and pro-homosexual agenda.

Christmas is a-coming....

Are you getting your cards done for mailing?? You know Christmas is less than 2 months away!! I've been working on my Christmas gifts and will post them as I can.

Here's one I just finished, very easy to do, for a blogger's challenge on Paper Wings. We had to use either Snowman Nativity or Ornamental Snowflake sets. Here is a list of other "angels" who are participating: (I will add to the list as I get them)
KellyRae C.
Diane H.
Jen C. - 2 blog posts - #1 and #2
Barb F. - 2 blog posts - #1 and #2
Laurie W.
Jany
Deb G.
Martha
Melisa W.

I used Amberly Grace SWIC, cardstock, and ribbon, a scrap of premium white cardstock, Snowman Nativity stamp set, Coluzzle Nested Oval, mat, swivel knife, Oasis Green Versamagic ink, Noir P.H. ink, and Prismacolor pencils. Now, are you thinking Christmas?

Monday, October 27, 2008

Still working on Christmas cards!

I'm still making cards to send to family, friends, and customers. Here's one I did for a sketch challenge on Paper Wings.

I used various greens from both DCWV Cardstock stacks, a scrap of white cardstock, the tree from the Holiday Magic stamp set, GWP Greetings (you can get it free with a $30 net order!), Mega Scallop Oval punch, Coluzzle Nested Oval, mat, swivel knife, Versamark Ink, Landscape PH ink, and a sanding block.

So, are you getting into the Christmas spirit? I've seen Christmas decorations in many stores already!! My goodness it seems way early but you know, November starts this weekend!

I'm dreaming of a yellow Christmas??

It was a sketch challenge on Paper Wings that prompted this card. Very non-traditional, don't you think? LOL! All the colored cardstock is from the DCWV Brights Cardstock Stack and white premium cardstock. The tree and text is from the Joy of Christmas set. I used Chartreuse PH ink on both stamps then, on the tree, "thumped" yellow and green from my Brights Impress Markers. The ribbon is from some that we used to carry by Making Memories. A very fast, easy card! Do you know that Christmas is barely 2 months away!!! I went with my folks today into Tucson and nailed JoAnnes. Got lots of little wooden sled ornaments (not like the ones I posted earlier), and 2 wooden bone ornaments, a wooden picture frame, and a Cuttlebug embossing folder. Now to find the time to start painting.... Are you working on your Christmas cards and gifts yet??

Great news!

Our Double Dips awards program has been extended 'til Dec. 3, 2008!!! This gives you an extra month of great deals! Remember, it is double the Gift With Purchase stamps (now 2 for every $30 in net orders), double the Hostess awards (now 2 for every qualifying net orders), and double the 1/2 price items (now 2 for every $100 in net orders). I've already have my customers in eastern Wyoming take advantage of this and was the hostess ever so excited to be able to fill her entire wish list!! To get these great deals you must contact me direct and not through my online catalog/shopping cart. There is a contact me button in the left side menu. Let me help you fill your stamping and scrapping needs and start creating more!

Also, we have a new deal available from November 1 - November 30. These are 2 "vintage" stamp sets that will be offered. They are great for coloring and will make wonderful additions to your cards for Thanksgiving.

I hope to post a card or something soon. I've been busy designing projects for the Design Call for our Spring/Summer 2009 catalog coming out February 2, 2009. So far I have 5 done and ready to go. I have to have them mailed early next week to beat the deadline so just about every available minute I've been creating. Yesterday it took me a few hours just to pull together an 8"x8" scrapbook page! I just couldn't get the look I was going for. I remember the last Design Call a card of mine made it into the catalog that I really didn't like so we'll see what happens.

So, are you enjoying fall? Here in southern AZ it's still very warm. I think the weather forecast is for temps in the high 80's. So nice! Well, back to designing!

Tin can lid Ornament

This ornament is the result of a challenge on Paper Wings in honor of angel Rita Holmes, who has breast cancer. We had to use the color pink and one of her techniques that she posted to our Paper Wings online group. I used the Marker Thumping technique which is SOOO easy! I started with the tree from the Joy of Christmas set and inked it with Chartreuse ink. Next I took 3 markers and, starting with the lightest color, "thumped" them on the inked stamp. After "huffing" on the stamp to moisten the inks I then stamped it on my scrap of white cardstock and cut out. I inked the word Christmas from the Trendy Greetings set with a black marker and stamped it on the vellum. I cut out my circle of pink cardstock with my Coluzzle Nested Circle (don't forget you need the mat and swivel knife) and adhered it to the large can lid using 1/4" Wonder Tape. I adhered the tree then used my Crop-a-Dile to punch the hole and set the eyelet. I adhered the vellum using a dab of Dries Clear Glue then used Red Stickles to cover to glue so it wouldn't show. I had some red sheer ribbon to adorn the ornament. You can use any size lid to make your ornaments but you will need to find stamps to fit. They also would look pretty cool to adorn a gift. What other uses can you come up with??

Not much happening!

It's been a busy weekend and what stamping I got done I can't post until January as the items are for a design team call on Paper Wings On Line. Sorry. Also, TAC has a design call out for samples for the new spring/summer catalog coming out in February so I want to get some items done for that and they need to be in the mail in 2 weeks!! Ouch! As I work I will have items that I don't want to send in so I will be posting them.

Also, I updated my Livin' Hot blog today with a great recipe that I really like so please check it out!

Happy stamping!

Hooting Owls

My cousin, Mary, is having a birthday soon and she has a great sense of humor so.....
this card is for her. I seen a card very similar on Splitcoast Stampers and just couldn't stop laughing! The "hooters" phrase was made on my computer and I tried to match the font of the Happy Birthday. The owls are from the new Fall Supplement set called Artsy Owls and I think they're just wonderful! The Happy Birthday is from the Trendy Greetings set and I use that set so much! The background for the card from is a Cuttlebug embossing folder and I used some DCWV white core paper and my sanding block. I colored the cute little rascals with my Prismacolor Pencils.

Now, how about you make a humorous card?? Have fun and I hope you didn't spray your computer monitor with your coffee when you seen this! But then, you did get your monitor clean.. LOL!

I have added some stuff to my "Livin' Hot" blog so click on the link in the Favorites and check it out.

New Pink Bind-It-All

My previous post had some problems so I deleted it and am trying again. We'll see how this one works!

You can find a complete detailed explanation of the new machine at Zutter or click here.

The Bind-It-All manufacturers have now remanufactured the tool to have a pink body style. The tool looks and works exactly the same, yet has a couple new features. The new design is able to punch through thicker material, and has an extension on the paper guide bar and plate. It is now a soft pink where it used to be a turquoise blue. To view a photo of the pink Bind-it-All go to the Products section of my E-Commerce site, or click here, click on Accessories, then click on Tools. From there, scroll down to the Bind-It-All.

The packaging that the product will arrive in is also slightly different. The new color helps to distinguish the newer version of the Bind-It-All from older versions. The new Bind-It-All pricing will be $80.95. This price change will take place immediately. Thank you for your understanding in this matter, and we look forward to sharing this fun, new, fashionable Bind-It-All with you.

Also, Double Dips is still going on!! I called TAC™ and verified that to get these awards and freebies you must contact me with your order. Going through my online catalog and shopping cart will not work for these. And this special ends Nov. 3 which means I need your order before then to get it into the office! So, don't forget!

BooKoo Blessings!

This layout was a challenge on Paper Wings this week. I used Amberly Grace SWIC and matching cardstock for the papers and some navy cardstock for the layering. The little color samples on the bottom of the pattern papers was used for the little dots and I coated them with Crystal Lacquer. I used a stamp from Fancy Curls and Moonlight White Brilliance ink for the swirl and BooKoo Blessings and Noir PH ink on the beige panel. Such an easy card!

So, has anyone been putting together their order? Today starts the day for the new SOTM so watch the specials slideshow. I'll be updating it today!

Rylie's Tshirt & another special!!

Well, I did a page of Rowan last so I decided to do a page of our middle granddaughter Rylie with the Tshirt we gave her for her 8th birthday. I even scanned her thank you letter and shrunk it to fit my 8"x8" page. Rylie takes dance lessons and the Tshirt just jumped out at me shouting her name! Love it when I can find gifts like that!

I started with a page from Kaleidoscope Girlz Wing It Pad. I layered the photo and letter on coordinating paper. The little ballerina is from the Twinkle Toes set and colored with Prismacolor Pencils. I also stamped the words from the set to help tie it all together. All the stamping was done using Noir PH ink.

I decided to give you all another gift! To the first 3 who place orders on my ecommerce site or email me (so that you can get the double dips goodies) I will send 5 Christmas cards with matching envelopes! Look through my site and let me know! This offer ends October 15th! Don't forget to check the monthly specials in the left menu column. The Fall Supplement has some really great sets!!
