Happy Independence Day!

Today is the day we celebrate and remember the founding of our nation!  It was on this date in 1776 that the final draft of the Declaration of Independence was approved by the Committee of Five, John Adams, Roger Sherman, Robert Livingston, Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson.  What a great thing to declare our nation's independence from the tyranny of King George III of England!  We will be celebrating by going to Tubac, AZ to enjoy food and fireworks this evening!  Hopefully it won't rain as we are now in our monsoon season.

And in further celebration I made a card and rosette to share.

Not only did I used all FSJ products but do you see the trim around the flag?  I cut a piece out of the seal of a coffee can!  That shiny metal is fun to use! The paper straw was purchased at a big box store.

Here's a closer look at it and the cool silver star.

I have some special embossing powder called Transcendence that works on dye inks provided you put this on immediately after stamping.

Products used:
Card stocks: Whip Cream, Candy Apple, Beach Ball and Be Amazing Printed Paper
Stamps: Simply Amazing and Chevron Trail
Embossing Folder: Beach Towel
Inks: Outrageous Pink and Orange Rave
Other:  Whip Cream ThreadSpecial Celebrations Sequins,
and Shooting Star elements (long retired from the Bloom Benefits but I have quite a stash!)

Have you checked out our new online catalog?  And the Journey Holiday Mini?  The links are on my previous post and also on my FSJ Specials page.  And the new shopping cart has really been updated with some new banners!  I hope you stop by and have a look!
