Seminar Stamp Sets...

Since I'm still cutting out stamps and trying to finish projects I thought I'd show you all the stamp sets we got at Seminar (The Angel Company's annual convention).  I think I have them all here....

(Don't know why my off white floor photo'ed yellow...)  I have 21 sets here!  Can you believe that!!

I have:
all 8 Rewards Level A sets (2 might be for sale or as blog candy as they don't do a thing for me)
Reward Level B set Sweet Seasons (still debating if I like it - I wanted Every Leaf)
Reward  Level B set Always Be Fabulous
Reward Level C set Love This Day (still thinking on this one, too)
Sunshine And Joy (too cutesy for me.... not going into my inventory)
Love Lines (works great with Love This Day... is shown next to this Reward set but isn't a Reward set)
Apple of My Eye
Dotted Peony (fabulous flower set!)
Wonderful Tree
Beautiful Lace  (a gorgeous vintage set with doileys, hat, lamp, dress, and phrases)
Konnichiwa (a wonderful Asian set with 3 adorable geisha girls and more!)
Eyes to See (a great masculine set!!  Just love it!)
Enjoy the Scenery (a great LARGE vintage image - 3 1/2" x 4 1/2")
and
Ready Set Snow from the Fall Supplement

I think I made back almost 1/2 of our registration in stamps!  And we got lots of full paper packs (SWICs) with matching hardware, ribbon, floss, etc.  Just amazing!  And next year we'll be back in Kansas City... can you say cheaper air fare??  Woo woo!!

So, stay tuned! I'm trying to finish the projects - got 6 done!!  And I'll be posting more stamps sets for sale as I clean out the retired sets.

Here Kitty Kitty...

I am in Wichita at this time this post goes live. Today is the end of our TAC Seminar and tomorrow I'll be flying home via Dallas.  Hopefully my gates are close together.  Anyway, I needed some cat cards for our AZ Stampers monthly swap with a cat theme.  This stamp is just too cute so I decided to use it.  It's called Just Theo  9sorry, no link as my TAC site was down for upgrades when I made this post).  The photo is kittywampus (pun intended) but that's because I scanned it as my camera was packed (this post was made 6/22 and I flew out EARLY the next day).

I used retired Surf Shoppe designer paper as the stripes are just so colorful!

I colored with Copic markers and hope to practice more when I get home.  The text is from the  Just A Cat set. I used a black watercolor marker on the text stamp because I didn't want the full text. I eliminated the word "as" since this stamp is a continuing of a phrase. I used a Black glitter pen on the flies and eyes so they really shine!

I will be posting the projects we made at Seminar after I get them downloaded from my camera.  And I sure hope this post goes as scheduled!

Huggy Bears!

I am at the Tucson airport now - if this posted when scheduled. I'll be flying out real soon for Denver then Wichita.  I'm so looking forward to Seminar and seeing my fellow angel friends! And seeing new ideas and making projects and not sleeping and, and, and....

But I'll show you the card I made my Dad for Father's Day.

I used a stamp set called Just One You.  Isn't it adorable!! It's from the Fall Supplement as is the last card I posted (Theo the cat). I used Pop Rocks Classic SWIC paper and the stickers to write Dad. I noticed after photoing that there is a bit of paper torn off the cover leaving a swath of white in the blue. A little bit of Copic marker and it's almost not noticeable!

I used my Stardust Clear Gel pen to "bling" the stickers and really make them pop!

And I colored with my Copic markers.  I need to get on YouTube and get some more lessons!  Inside this card is stamped "Precious things are rare and few....     ...guess that's why there's just one you." These 2 stamps are more of an inny & outy but I used them both together. I also stamped Happy Father's Day using the Trendy Greetings set, a classic stamp set!

Hopefully my flight will be non-eventful and the gates at DIA in Denver are close together.  I hate running down the moving sidewalks when I usually have to go to the bathroom really bad!  My flights have VERY little time between and it is not fun having to hurry when you need a pit stop while carrying 2 bags!

Please say a prayer for my flights and the weather! I really would appreciate it! Be home Sunday late afternoon!

Oh Theo...

Now that Father's Day is over and my hubby and dad got their cards I can post them here!  Dad does follow my blog on FaceBook...

First, Dean's.  All stamps are from the set Just a Cat. He is such a hoot! There are 3 different sets with this particular cat.

I used Amelia SWIC (retired) as I have so much!  And Theo is colored with Copic markers.

He is really eyeballin' those flies! And they do have a glint of Black Stardust gel pen along with Theo's eye. Inside the card is stamped "that's why you have me!"  I ordered Dean a leather covered NKJV Life Application Bible with his name engraved. He loves it! I'll have to get me a new Bible about the first of the year as mine is falling apart, too, but not as badly as Dean's.

Early Thursday morning I'll be flying out for Wichita, KS for our annual TAC Seminar. I have posts scheduled and hope they actually post as I'll not have any computer access until I get home Sunday afternoon. So, if what is scheduled doesn't post you'll get them starting Monday! And I'll have LOTS of new card samples of which I might share a few here.  And be watching the TAC Savvy Projects blog for cards using new stamps from the new Inspiration Book!!

CAS Blog Hop....

You know by now how I like to make fast and easy cards.  Well, over on Paper Wings (a great place to view TAC images on wonderful cards and projects)we are blog hoppin' making CAS cards - you know, clean and simple!  And we are only allowed 1 layer! I chose the sets Sunshine and Fancy Curls to use on my card.  It's a 4 1/4" square card as the standard A2 card just overwhelmed my chosen stamps with too much white space.

I stamped the flourish with Raw Sienna PH ink as it coordinates so well with the colors of the Copic markers I used on the flower.

Here you can see the center of the flower.  I had a jar of "Mini Mosaics" by Suze Weinberg called Cracked Corn (for the color).  I did color under them with some brown Copic markers to give them a brown background in case any gaps showed.  I also double stamped the phrase with both Noir and Raw Sienna inks just for fun.  I did get the Happiness a bit off kilter but hopefully whoever receives this card will be SO impressed with the flower they won't notice.  Do you think I'll be that lucky?

After leaving me a comment or rating please visit these talented angels with their CAS cards.

Wild for Easels....

I'm having to get my class samples done for my July/August classes at the LSS in Green Valley, AZ and, since I haven't done Easel cards for a while, these will be an August class.  I was inspired by some cool papers and am using 2 retired sets, Take Pride and Tiger Face.

I just love the rich colors in this paper!!

I also used Basic Brights & Earth Tones chalk kits and the Black Gem collection.  The phrase "Wild Thing!" is computer generated.  These would make great Father's Day cards! Or even a masculine birthday card!  I really gotta get my Father's Day cards done...  I send cards to our 2 sons along with my hubby and dad.  Are you ready for Father's Day??

And Sunday evening I'll be taking part in a Blog Hop sponsored by Paper Wings, a great place to visit with quite an extensive gallery of TAC™ stamps!

Deer Dad...

I got some free paper from our LSS in Green Valley, AZ when I had a purchase a while ago and one sheet inspired me to use my Greatest Dad set.

My hubby just loves the expression on this little buck!

I colored the image with some Copic markers and realized...  I really need to practice more!

And this is one of the images on the paper that caught my attention!  Though the stamped image looks like a mule deer, this one on the paper is a white tail.  (I'm from WY and have hunted deer many times.) And in case you're wondering the difference, it's mainly in the antlers!  A mule deer's antlers go back and a white tail's go forward.  How's that for a bit of biology!  I won't be giving this card to my dad but it may end up in a stack as a gift for the kids later.

Long May She Wave...

Do you  remember my Flag ATCs???  (Here's the LINK if you don't.)  I decided to make a card from one.  I bought some star background paper and computer-generated the saying.

I used some burgundy cardstock to layer the elements and a gold star brad attached over the silver star sticker.

I chose a burgundy colored font to tie the text in with the background.

Not bad....  Great way to use up extra ATCs!! And not a lick of stamping! Shhhh.... don't tell anyone! LOL!

It's been skewed!

I've been working on some projects for upcoming classes at the LSS in Green Valley, AZ and, since I need a card for a Technique Junkie 1 on 1 swap, I kept on playing!  I made a card using the Skewed Pyramid technique from the Dec10/Jan11 newsletter.  Are you ready??  It's kinda weird looking but I do like it!

I used some brown cardstock from my stash, brown Twine, and the stamp Twinkle In the Eye, a current hostess set.  This stamp is a winter image but I have used it mostly for Christmas.  It does NOT mention Christmas in any way, shape or form as you can see in the next photo.

Here's a close up of the "skewed" pyramid.  I used Burnt Umber PH ink on white cardstock to get to this point.  Isn't is just wild!

I also used a gem from a Brown/Ivory Gem collection I picked up recently.  I love the ivory color and it works great with this card.

Countdown.... I'll be leaving for Wichita, KS on June 23 for our annual convention. That's less than 2 weeks!  I don't have my swaps done but I have them started!

I will be posting the "Around the World" class I'm working on soon.  I'm supposed to have 4 classes (2 for July and 2 for August) ready with samples by next Thursday morning! Ugh!  Well, 1 down anyway...   LOL!
What new technique have you played with recently??  Come on, get to stamping!

Scored and Framed...

I showcased the Scor-Pal and Bug at a party last month and this card was sent to one of the customers thanking her for her order.  I found my Bug at the bottom of the Scor-Pal Bag so it didn't stay hid for long!  It was one of those "duh" moments when suddenly you remember where something is!!  Anyway, I hope she liked her card.

I used Neutral DCWV white core cardstock to get the best pop for the scoring/bugging. The stamped images are from the retiring Fundamental Frames and the current Joyful Notes

How do you like the little gem?  It's from the Clear/Pearl Gem collection.  I wanted some bling on this card and the Stardust Clear Gel pen just wouldn't work!  What would you have done?

The Joy of the Lord...

Here's another card for a customer.  She ordered Edge Designs, a retiring set so I used 2 of the stamps from the set, the text from Filled with Joy, white cardstock, and one of the free downloadable paper patterns (click on picture of paper patterns in the left sidebar).

I punched the white text piece with the Super Jumbo Scalloped Oval punch then using the Mega Scalloped oval punch on black to frame.

I used the Stardust Clear Gel pen on the word Believe in the Edge Design and on the word Joy in the oval. I love the simplicity of this design yet it seems to have a touch of elegance.  What do you think??

Whoo Loves Ya!

Another card for a customer...   Isn't this little guy just adorable??  He's from the set Whoo Loves Ya which is being retired this month.  It's a hostess set so I have no link.

I used my Scor-Pal and DCWV white core paper then sanded the scores.  Can you see the words... I stamped with with VersaMark ink then sanded them, too!  I was going to use the Scor-Bug but found it after the card was completed.  I hate it when it bugs out on me...  Oh, bad pun...   LOL!

I used assorted Copic markers to color this little guy.  And see his eyes??  I used a Black glitter pen on them.  It really makes the eyes just pop!  What sets are you going to miss that's being retired??

A sweet friendship

I've been busy making some cards for customers who've ordered recently and came across a cool card on The Angel Co.'s Paper Crafting Community by Kelly Rasmussen using the Swirled Spring Life hostess A set.  It inspired this card which is not quite as elaborate but I had fun making it. I used Jewel Tone Chalks to color and a bit of Stardust Clear Gel pen on the bee's antenna.  The chalk gives a very subtle glimmer which just will not show up in my photos.  The text is from the Filled With Joy set of which I just realized that I have 2 of this set so if you're interested it will be for sale shortly.

I used a coordinating Copic marker to color the ribbon.

We've had wild fires just south of us about 20 - 25 miles and the smoke has been horrible along with the headaches it causes.  Please pray for some rain for us here in southern AZ.  Thanks!

And check out the New Catty Sneak Peek tab just below the banner!!  Seven brand new sets you can order NOW (mid-June shipping or so) from the new Inspiration Book coming out June 27!!  Contact me!!

Spritzed circles

A couple months ago on FaceBook I seen a post about a technique using a toilet paper roll.  It was used on a scrapbook page and was so easy and amazing!  I taught it at our Ink Spots meeting the end of April and challenged all to make something using that piece of cardstock they spritzed.  Well, unfortunately no one showed up at the meeting last Friday.  I know 1 was out of town and the other 2 were ill. No one else said anything so I drove the 12 miles to town and waited, and waited, and waited.  The owned of the LSS also waited, and waited, and waited.  We gave up at 6:10 pm and left.  Both of us were not happy campers by then but I did get home early and had dinner with hubby.  So, do you want to see what I learned?

Here's the start.  I used a Walnut Ink spray.

I held the toilet paper role on the paper as shown in the first picture and sprayed the ink through it.  I then moved the role and repeated.  You can only do so much spraying as the t.p. role gets saturated and falls apart.  And I recommend scrap paper under your cardstock and spraying as it can be messy.  My hands came clean with a good scrubbing.  Now, ready to see what I did with this??

I used our Seminar set for my stamping. As of this time this cool set is only available to those attending the annual convention.  I sprayed a bit of the Walnut Ink into a little dish then used a sponged to lightly add the ink to the stamp before stamping on the small white square.  I wanted the cool shoes to match the background.  Kinda like your shoes matching your outfit and that doesn't mean black Croc sandals....

I had some ribbon that matched so nicely and that was used along with the Fiskars Treading Water border punch. I know my hubby is biased but he liked this and, I admit, so do I.  Inside the card is stamped "you can never have too many..."  This card reminds my of my SBC (sister by choice) in Lusk, WY.  She's such a girly girl and has WAY more shoes than I ever thought of having.

So, have you tried anything new lately??
(As I prepared this post last night I'm trying to recover from a nasty headache, aches, weakness, chills, hot flashes, and naseau.  (I looked up this word to spell it correctly but this is what Google showed yet Blogger doesn't like the spelling.) Hopefully by morning I'll be back to my good-ole self.
