Sail Away with me....

I was blog surfing the other day and seen a card that really inspired me on Karen's Kreations May 14th post.  I used our Anchor to the Soul set and our Kaliedoscope Brights paper (unfortunately retired).

Don't you just want to lounge on this little sailboat on a calm sea/lake/pond??

Here I used the Stardust Clear Gel pen to enhance the water.  I used  Beax Arts Blue PH ink as it coordinated the best with the scrap of blue I had punched using a 3" circle punch. And I used the Giga Scallop Circle punch for the white cardstock.

How about my knot embellishment?? It's not as clear as I'd hope but you get the idea. I used a 1/2" glue dot behind it to adhere it and keep it from moving around.  I tried to keep the knot flat for easier mailing but the card will need some padding anyway to keep from ruining the envelope.

I think I need to get some feminine cards made.  I do find masculine easier for some reason....  Which is easier for you?

Another Big Game card...

I made a 2nd Father's Day card using the retired "Moose" set.  This time I used the elk from the set and again, watercolor paper.  I actually dampened the paper then stamped the elk using Burnt Umber PH in then stamped again over it using Raw Sienna PH ink.  I then dried the paper and stamped again with the Burnt Umber.

I even used my Water Brush and my Prismacolor H2O pencils to add a little more color.  How do you like the spiral clip?  Great embellishment, I think.

Here's my elk.  I did not stamp directly over each time but had a fraction of an inch offset.  I like how he looks.  And I used up almost all of the camo paper and brown Core'dinations paper.  I was asked by the AZ Scrapbooking store owner, Debi, to make a few Father's Day cards to sell at the store.  I will get a couple more made and you will get to see them here.  I still have cards to make for my hubby, dad, stepson, and son.  Gotta get the thinking cap on!  Do you have your cards done yet??

Big game.....

I'm a Wyoming gal, lived there for the majority of my life, our son was born and still lives there...  Anyway, we lived just 70 miles east of Yellowstone Park.  The drive from Cody to the Park had a wide array of "big game" which would be moose, deer, elk, bears, and more.  I loved seeing these majestic animals.  TAC used to have a wonderful stamp set called Moose.  It's been retired for quite some time but I still have my set. And with Father's Day coming up in a month I decided to make a couple cards using this set.

I was using some paper left over from some kits I made for the local scrapbooking store in Green Valley, AZ  It went perfectly with the stamps so here's the first one.  The images are stamped on watercolor paper for a little softer look. I used my 1/2" circle punch to embellish the card and keep it masculine.

Here's the deer close up.  I used Burnt Umber PH ink as it coordinated very well with the paper.  I'm not real sure if I like my sketch or layout.  I tried numerous things but this was the only one that kinda flowed.  What do you think?

Here come the geckos!

I played with a sketch design and used our awesome Cha Cha SWIC, matching cardstock and ribbon and the design just screamed southwest.  A light bulb lit up (I turned on my desk lamp) and voila!!  Here's what I came up with!

The phrase is from our hostess set, Bless Your Heart.  I've been using it a lot lately...   See the 3 little geckos?

I used a black glitter pen to add the spots down their backs.  My hubby kept looking at them then asked how I made them!  I used a small punch by EK Success (I think). Just cool! Actually my first thought was 3 flowers but I think my little geckos are more unusual and does make this a masculine card.  What do you think?

Keep it punchin'

I seen a cool card while blog surfing the other day.  I got inspired but mine doesn't look at all like the one that inspired me!  Anyway...  I used my 2" circle punch, 1" circle punch, Super Jumbo Flower punch, 1/16" hole punch,  Winterberry Design collection (retired),  white cardstock, Corner Chomper, white scrapper's floss,  Bless Your Heart hostess stamp set,  Noir PH ink, and  the Stardust Clear Gel pen.  How's that for knowing up front!!
So here's the card:

It's a pretty simple design.  Have you figured out how I made the leaves??  I punched a circle of green the punched half of each circle to make the leaf shape.  Easy peasey!

Here's the "button" up close.  See the bling??  I love that pen!!! Now I  KNOW you can do this!!  Give it a try!

3 D Flower...and a bluebird

Dean had to work last Saturday so I took advantage (after 4 cups of coffee and an allergy pill) of the time to make some cards.  I need to get our daughter's card done and replenish my stash.  Most all of the paper is from my old stash.

So, are you ready?

The flower is made from using my large scallop circle punch and some left-over double-sided pattern paper from a project for the AZ Scrapbooking store in Green Valley, AZ.  I punched the circle 4 times, cut each in half, folded and taped down. I did alternate the 2 sides to give more of a contrast.  The phrase is another stamp from a soon-to-be released set in the new catty the first of July.  Goes with the Birthday Blessings stamp.

Here's a closeup of the flower.  I had to take a card apart that I made as a make 'n take a year ago to remember how to fold the circle.  The gem actually came from that sample as I think it looked better here.  This card would probably need a bubble envy to mail.

This card uses the Little Bird set and Tiny Tidbits hostess set.  I stamped the bird on the brown and also on white so that I could color it.  My closeup was horrible so you don't get to see it. I used some Fiskars scissors to cut the white layers at the bottom then used a sponge and Seascape PH ink since it matched the Prismacolor Pencil color on the bird.

What have you be stamping lately?  Let me know!

Christmas in May??

The AZ Scrapbooking store never heard of medallion stamps or even Holly Berry before a couple weeks ago when we (Debi and I) started talking.  Since then they purchased a few and I'll be doing a class in July.  But our son and his family sent me a Mom's Day card and our 2 granddaughters signed it plus sent a couple school pictures and I just had to play with one of HB's stamps.  The paper is all scrap from my stash and I tried to match some of the colors in her dress.  The image is stamped 5 times and embossed with black embossing powder on VersaMark ink.  I'll do one with the other granddaughter soon but here's Ro...

My hubby had a heck of a time believing this was all from 1 stamp! I had to show him the stamp! LOL!  I used my Stardust Clear Gel pen to add lots of bling to the white layer.

Here's the top closeup.  I also used my white gel pen where you see the white in the leaves and red Stickles for the berry.  I should have used my Xstatic pad as I had loose pieces of the embossing powder where I didn't want it.  Gotta find that little pad before I do this again!

I will post the pictures the first of July of the one I will be teaching at the store.  Until then.... What are you doing with photos of your loved ones?

It's Blog-hoppin' Time!

8ave you been anticipating today?  The blog hop begins!!  There are 7 of us angels involved in this cool masculine themed blog tour! My card is a 3D type that I call a Multifold card.  I seen this WAY back when as I was blurfing (blog surfing) and can't even tell you where I seen it! But here it is:

Please forgive me for the paperclip at the top but that was the only way I could keep it closed to take the picture.  I used the Hiero Horses set for the cool horse on the cover. I actually stamped him twice to give him a bit of a shadow using Burnt Umber PH ink.

I used Amelia SWIC and matching ribbon along with some brown Core'Dinations cardstock (because I had it on hand and handy). I kept thinking I need more but it just seemed too cluttered for a guy card so it is simple.

I did horrible taking this picture but I wanted you to see all the folds in this card. Thank goodness for my Scor-Pal!

I tried double-stamping the top text using Burnt Umber PH under and Noir PH over.  I didn't quite get them close enough together as I was trying to match the horse on the cover.  I used the April special set called That Guy.  Love the set!

Now, are you ready to see the other angel projects?  Just click on the names below to hop on over to their blogs!  And this hop is brought to you by Paper Wings! Check out our great gallery!

An amazing blog candy giveaway!

I was just doing a bit of blog hopping and came across this amazing giveaway!  I'm entering, are you?

To enter this drawing go to Debbi's blog at Passion for Crafts!

I'm Pining for You....

Of course this is a terrible pun but I do love pine trees. There are some here but we don't have any on our place.  So I had to make a card with a pine tree.  The tree is from the set, Good Timber, and I used Mimi SWIC paper and matching ribbon. We now have More Mimi which is double sided but I still have some Mimi to use. I stamped the tree using Burnt Umber PH ink.

What do you think of the little circles under the tree panel?  I used a 1/4" circle punch and a scrap piece of the card front to make those.  To me they help draw the eye to the tree.

I added the brown button and white scrappers floss to the ribbon to make this car more masculine.  And a bamboo skewer does great to curl the floss.

This again is a simple card with a touch of elegance.  The sketch is simple yet I love how it turned out.

Are you watching for my next post?  We're having a blog hop of angels from Paper Wings showcasing masculine projects.  I'm working like crazy finishing mine.  So be sure to check back!!

Sugary sweet....

I got to playing with another new set called Sugar Coated Sweetness.  It's an adorable set but I can only show you a small piece since it's in the upcoming Inspiration Book.

I used Miss Moxie SWIC and matching cardstock along with my Scor-Pal but you can't see all this!  I did color the little heart with a Prismacolor pencil and added bling with the Stardust Clear Gel pen. Can you figure out what is winking at you?? I'm not going to give any clues so you'll have to just wait and see.  This stamp set is a bit out of my comfort zone but it is perfect for young children. Oops, a clue!  LOL!

Blessed Summer...

My mom needed some cards recently and I used a stamp from one of the new sets that will be in the upcoming Inspiration Book and Catalogue. There are 8 stamps in this set,  Love You,  which will sell for $10.95.  I will be posting another card or two using just this phrase as I'm not supposed to show the whole set.  But you WILL want this set!!  Anyway, here's the birthday card Mom needed for a friend...

I love the set, Anchor to the Soul.  It's so "restful" and elegant.  Here I used Amberly Grace SWIC and matching cardstock.  I used Noir PH ink for the stamping.

You can barely see that the ice in the glass is sparkly!  I colored with Prismacolor Pencils then used the Stardust Clear Gel pen on the ice.  I can almost here this chair calling me. And the pink lemonade, yummy!

Last Saturday Susanne and I went to Sierra Vista, AZ to be guests at a stamp club meeting.  There was about 35 gals there and they had 2 demonstrations and a class.  Was great seeing friends from the AZ Stampers yahoo group, Becky, Moana, and Barb! Susanne and I stopped at After Midnight Art Stamps owned by Linda and Tom Hanson in Sonoita, AZ on the way home.  I did get some new plates for my Wizard and a couple stamps (1 may be for Barb of Haunted House Designs - gotta think about it.) We got the grand tour of the house and so many fan-tabulous art items from people who attended retreats at their "ranch".   I even watched Tom as he pressed some stamps for the Puyallup, WA (not sure if I spelled it correctly) show coming up soon.

Anyway, sorry my post is a bit late.  Had to get pictures taken of my cards and  downloaded to my computer plus take my folks on errands.  And, coming up this weekend some of us angels will be having a blog hop of "masculine" projects!!  You'll want to stay tuned!

Sneak Peek...

I just received my special order of some of the new stamp sets coming out in TAC's new catalog July 1.  We've been asked NOT to show the sets but I'll show a little bit of a card I made using one of the sets.  This sneak peek is from the set called Happily Grateful.  You're only going to see a bit of 2 of the 8 images...

I used paper from Lilly Anna SWIC and matching cardstock. I used a K-Pad on the butterfly and Jardin Moss PH ink on the branch...

Did I peak your interest on my sneak peek??? Hope so!  You may want to reserve your copy of the new Inspiration Book & Catalogue coming out the end of June!

Branching out...

I'm enjoying my little bout of inspiration.  And been surfing the web for more inspiration.  This card is another result of a burst of worktable stamping...

Again I used Winchester SWIC and matching cardstock.  The cool pine branch comes from the Good Timber set. And I stamped using Eggplant VersaMagic ink.

See the glimmer?? I used my Stardust Clear Gel pen to add the bling.

Have you been enjoying my burst of creativity??  I'd love to hear from you!

Have a Happy Day!

Here's another card from my little gush of creativity.  I used a phrase from the retiring hostess set, Bless Your Heart.  I got the layout idea from Unity Stamps photos on Facebook.  They have some great inspiration! So, without further ado...

The cool paper is from our Sands of Time Classic SWIC package.  I used DCWV solid cardstock for the layering.  And the ribbon is from my stash.

I wanted to show you the layering.  I did "pop" the phrase with foam tape.  I used Sage VersaMagic ink to stamp the phrase.  This card is a bit heavy due to all the layering but I like how it turned out.

Gone Golfin.....

I'm finally feeling a bit more creative and need to get some cards made for our daughter's birthday gift.  She wants 2 dozen cards to give out.  Well, I've had a heck of a time getting this done and her birthday is tomorrow!!!  I'm working on it.  I have 4 cards made...   Here's one of them:

I'm really enjoying this special set that was only available last month, Greatest Dad.  I think it'd be cool if it would be in the new catalog being released July 1.  Anyway I used Winchester SWIC and matching cardstock. I also used my Wizard and the Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 1 for the pattern paper and white cardstock.

What do you think of this little golf ball guy?  Doesn't he look happy?  Does he know what's coming? LOL! I colored him using my H2O Pencils and the Niji Water brush.

I really need to work at feminine cards but I find them a bit more difficult. Guess I'll have to work on it harder...  So, what have you stamped lately??
